Erica was our waitress and she was wonderful ‼️

Red Sox weekend

La Summa was our favorite dinner while in Boston. Located in the North End just a half block away from crazy noise, it is a solid choice for conversational dinners. In addition to its ambience, the food and service were second to none. Our waitress really cared, made recommendations and did not rush us. The menu had depth and it was when the bill came I noticed it was a good value too.

Always adore this restaurant…off the beaten path of Hanover crowds, it’s low key and family friendly. Order up the Veal Special.

Just love eating in the North end. And if you are looking for traditional northern Italian food la summa is it Great wait staff

Always a great experience!!! Service and staff are incredible and food is great!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We enjoyed a cozy, charming, romantic dinner with great Italian food. The staff and host could not have been more personable and attentive. Our waitress, Sharon, went out of her way to make a special cocktail that wasn't on the menu. The mushroom appetizer and homemade were outstanding! This family-run restaurant in Boston's North End (Little Italy) is tucked away in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience!

While we have been to LaSumma many times before, we will not go back. Our Caesar salads were drenched in salty dressings & cheese, despite my request of half the normal amount. More like an order of dressing and Parm with a little lettuce. Our pasta dishes were a bit overcooked - maybe because it’s hard to get fresh made pasta just right. Although we had red sauces, oil floated on top. Both were way too salty. Our side of rabe floated in maybe a half cup of oil and was overly salted. The staff is nice but I had an upset stomach from the too salty & too fatty food - and I like salt but this was way too much. As a business, they can save money and make better food by cutting back on salt and olive oil.

Did not have reservations but was able to sit outside. Hostess was great, super friendly. Waitress tried. She brought out glasses for water and proceeded to put ice water in them but they were very hot 2 of them cracked and 1 exploded soaking my wife's leg and shoes. Luckily son did not get any glass on him. For the food it was good. I felt it was pricey but not out of line with others. The food tasted grest.

The ambiance is terrific and love the outside option as well. The apps were good. Stuffed Mushrooms and Bruschetta. None of us cared for our entrees. Three of us ordered the House Special and one the Pollo Limone. I wouldn't have given such a bad rating had it not been the for the wait staff. Our main waitress was very friendly but never checked on us. The second waitress that would come by when she wasn't around had a scowl and seemed completely annoyed she had to do anything for us.
