Good variety of Korean/Chinese/Japanese food. I brought my Japanese friend and he liked it. I liked it. Fresh and hot. Beer was overpriced though. A bottle of Kirin for $11??? Come on. It’s a bottle. Other than that - Rhys we’re friends and food was good. I’ll go back. The atmosphere was old - but not as hectic as local bars.
Fast service, great lunch prices. Got the eel bento box, and everything included was delicious. Especially liked the miso soup and the ginger sauce on the salad. They were conscious of social distancing and let me sit in a spacious area away from other customers.
Limited vegetarian options but they are willing to accommodate. I got the vegetable skewers which was very interesting, healthy and tasty. I also got the basil fried rice with tofu and spicy sauce on the side, it was 6/10, nor my favorite.
Food was OK, but the service and person serving us was horrendous. We decided to give 10% tip (because we felt that was most appropriate), and to our surprise, we were then confronted by the server before leaving. We were scolded and glared at, before the server walks away after we explain why we gave only 10%. Kind of ridiculous to assume all your customers will give a minimum 18% tip, especially when the service was poor. Won't be coming back any time.
Taste is so so, but inappropriate comments over the simple and rush lunch to meet the appointment, by suggesting two main dishes in large quntity. and left the waste in a unpleasant sense, And forced 18% tip as minimum with no freedon of guest. it is a unfair sort of...
BENTO BOX PERFECTION. This small Japanese eatery on the Symphony Hall block has lots of yummy dishes to choose from: sushi, an impressive array of grilled skewers (we had the fish cakes, which were good but not served well by the dash of cumin that seemed to have been added), Korean dishes like bibimbap, and best of all, a very satisfying Bento box.I had the tempura one, which came with two big pieces of shrimp, four generous pieces of veggie tempura, two pieces of California roll, a couple of appetizers, salad, and soup, all for a mere $12! It was a steal - and everything was cooked to perfection.I would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
So disappointing. Went here for a night out. The bill was over $100.00 and almost everything was seasoned with Cumin! Ordered one of the specials and it came with a bunch of cocktail weenies as Yakitori, are you kidding me? Ordered one of the special rolls and it was small with no eel. We wanted this place to be great, but we won't go back.
They require you to show your medical papers to enter. Outrageous invasion of privacy, not to mention completely pointless. You have ti wear a mask while walking to your table, but you can sit, eat, drink, and talk for two hours, maskless — also pointless.
Outstanding!First off the Covid protcol was excellent. No Mask, No Vaccine Card = No Entry! Nice to see that they are trying hard. The sign outside reads: "Tapas, Sushi, Korean" and they do not disappoint one single bit. The grilled veggie tapas were excellent from the Cauliflower to the string Mushrooms. The meat tapas were also on point with the Lamb and Sausage shining. Fried Oyster katsu was a real treat as an appetizer. All of the Sushi rolls we well made, fresh and packed with flavor. So was the Japanese Chicken Fried Rice.Serving staff was on the ball in a full restaurant and made sure that every table was getting what they needed. All servers and staff were masked.
I like getting sushi from here. It is well priced and I like that they have a lunch combo special. I got the kimchi fried rice from here but was not that impressed. I will probably stick with the sushi.
