Great bar downtown. One of the TVs looks like it's on it way out. But great staff and. Amazon onion rings.

I went in last night with one of my girlfriends, hoping to listen to some of the live music, which was fantastic. However, the bouncer circled us the entire night, monitoring all of our actions. After we had one drink, we decided to leave as great as the music was it wasn’t worth it to be harassed by the bouncer. As we were leaving he came up to us again and told us to never come back. I’ve genuinely never been treated so poorly by any person at a bar in my life nor do I think buying a drink and sitting at a bar deserves a boy, maybe 100 pounds dripping wet, to scold us.

Worst bartender ever. Very racist. I waited for drinks for 20 minutes and there were few people who come and go. When I noticed someone who just arrived at the bar counter, the bartender decided to take the new person’s order instead of mine. Which I then told the bartender “May I order? I came before them”. To which I was told by her “Well, I want to take their order. If you don’t like it, you can go to a different bar”Btw, I am southeast Asian and she avoided eye contact with me the whole time without any smiles. I wouldn’t come back here after this experience

As many of the reviews say, horrendous staff. The worst I’ve ever experienced in Boston. Immediately upon walking in, I was told to leave. Lol this squirley little joke of a boy who looks like a character in Trainspotting couldn’t even articulate why he was asking only the people of color to leave. Is he supposed to be security? He was like 90lbs soaking wet. Please stop hiring trailer trash from Worcester to stand at the door. He’s obviously not qualified to even do that. Obviously the only reason this place is still open is because it’s old.

I attended the Red Velvet Burlesque show at Hennessey's on 3/26. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a man (I was later told was the manager) who basically treated us like a complete inconvenience. He told us to hurry up and get to the table and order because the next group was coming in an hour. My husband called a few days before to make sure we would be able to have dinner at the show and they said yes. The waiter (still clearly angry at something), told us nope only appetizers. I asked for mint in my drink and I got a "We don't have mint" with some attitude. I don't care if you don't have mint, but you could be a little nicer when speaking to your customers! It was honestly shocking. The bathrooms were FILTHY. The show itself was a total scam and there was no burlesque performance, just some girls taking their clothes off and walking around the room collecting money. To top it all off, we were trying to pay our tab and we were literally being kicked out of the venue so the next group could come inside... This was an awful experience and a waste of time and money. This place needs some lessons on how to treat their customers and how to clean their establishment.

We went for the burlesque show for a 30th birthday. The waiter was incredibly rude and told us our party of 15 needed to be all on one tab. He also told us we couldn't order anything other than appetizers. We were all upset because we were under the impression that we could get dinner at dinnertime. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, 4 stalls- 2 were horrifically clogged, 1 was okay and the other was completely missing the door. I told the staff of the bathroom condition and their response was "the last show got a little crazy" we arrived at 6pm... and didn't do anything to clean them. I would absolutely never recommend this place to anyone. & The burlesque show wasn't anything impressive, just dancing and taking clothes off to music.

Bad music, bad atmosphere. The setlists (both floors) sounded like they were taken from your nephew's 9th birthday party at the bowling alley. Downstairs band was out of tune, upstairs dj overmixed and wouldn't play more than ninety seconds of any given song. On top of that, the upstairs was musty, humid, and smelled of the restrooms. It's hard to understand how a place can charge a cover when the inside is such a disappointment

Don’t go there. Worst thing was the staff attitude. We couldn’t get in because apparently your official ID from your country is not OK, only passport which we always leave in the hotel to avoid losing it (we’ve never had issues with that, even in other restaurants in Boston) we even showed the passport picture but it still was not enough. Nobody has ever given us problems like this in other restaurants, it just looked like the waiter didn’t want to let us in (his attitude was not very welcoming let’s put it like this…)

The place was pretty sparse on the day before Christmas Eve. We stopped in for a bite and ended up staying through the evening listening to live music. It was awesome! Very talented and enthusiastic for such a small crowd. The bartender made us whatever drinks we could come up with and the food was your average bar food. Go for the music.

Good old time bar, excellent service and music.
