I’ve tried both the Chicago and Boston locations of Happy Lamb, and both are incredible. The Boston location is in the heart of China town, and offers high quality delicious food. We tried a wide variety of meats and veggies, and still made it out for only $100 (not including tip). The are friendly and quick to refill both drinks and broth. Even during a busy weekend we didn’t feel rushed, and walked away with a wonderful experience and memories. Highly recommend.

Great hotpot place to visit in Chinatown. The restaurant is extremely clean, modern, and has a nice look to it. The table was great, with two burners and room to fit 6-7 people where I sat. Our entire order came out to be around 23 dollars per person including tip for 7 people. Service was pretty quick and the servers were very quick with requests. Food was presented very nicely and the broths were amazing. Only take away is that I wasn’t that full from eating but not really a restaurant problem, might be considered expensive to some for hotpot compared to all you can eat hotpots. Overall I highly recommend coming here to grab some great hotpot. Photos were of some of the items we ordered.

Great hotpot place for a small group, which is mainly because of the relatively short wait. If you are dining in with a large party, I believe they also take reservation for the big groups. Really like the soup broth and the meat quality if this place. Their non-spicy/original broth is one of the best I have had. And I eat a lot of hotpot!! There is also another Happy Lamb at Central square, so make sure to check it out if you cannot find any tables here.

Went a few times and really liked it. However, one of the servers was very rude though, gave unnecessary attitude and had a very negative energy (guy with neck tattoo), but other than that they were pretty nice. Broth was great, the spicy wasn't too spicy but had a nice kick. The beef ribeye was pretty good. It was good for the price and was pretty cheap depending on what you ordered. Would recommend!!

Fast and friendly, delicious, and all around excellent place to spend Christmas lunch! My husband and I were in Boston for Christmas and we wanted to try hot pot per our friend’s recommendation and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great food, great experience, and great price! Definitely should check this out when you’re in Boston!

We told the servers it was our first time but they didn't care they just drop the plates and left, we got the best of both worlds and I don't know if it was a bad batch but the regular bone marrow was nasty. My partner liked the spicy one and that's why I'm giving them just 3 stars. The waiters were all very young and not really inviting.

The decor is somewhat stale but the place was packed. The table had a stove to keep the broth warm or boiling. We ordered the best of both worlds, an orignal marrow broth and VERY spicy marrow broth. Yeah, very SPICY is what it meant. We fished out an entire bowl of chili bits because it was so dang spicy even for me (see pic). When it comes to hot pots, broth is everything. 8 hours of simmering and you can tell how savoury it is. Without this, the meat, veggies or seafood won’t taste as good.We ordered pork belly, combo plate (lamb and beef), seafood combo, shiitake, spinach and watercress, and fresh thick noodles. All fresh and excellent. Only the mussel was already precooked but the rest were fresh. Switching to both broth was wonderful.I recommend put them little at a time. The meat slices cook very fast so pay attention, 10 seconds or less. Shiitake was very tender no matter how long it stays in. The fresh noodles should be no more than 30-60 seconds. Same with other seafood items and veggies.Overall excellent. The staff don’t smile much but they are quick in getting things out for you. I recommend it. One of the best broths around.

Nouveau hot pot spot. You and your clothes will smell like cumin when you walk out. Good quality meats.

Known for their broth! Their broth is so flavorful and tasty that sauces aren’t needed on the side to dip the meat and veggies. I do like their broth! I tried the “best of both worlds”—split pot of regular and spicy. Downside is that they are bit pricey. It’s not like a combo mix of veggies and rice / noodles that it comes with. Each item has a price on the menu. FYI

Fantastic and friendly staff. Host was able to find a table for us within 20 minutes despite not having reservations. Wait staff gave great recommendations on what to order and checked in regularly.Food was great. Order the meatball platter and if you're into lamb get the lamb bones. Delicious slow cooked lamb on the bone simmered in your hot pot.
