I think the allure is all hype and people thinking that because they are cute they are also good. I waited to have these for a second time before reviewing these cupcakes are average at best not worth price or the trouble. Local grocery stores with a bakery department are typically superior.
I hate to ever leave a negative review but hope it’s constructive enough they can grow from. I used to follow the show and loved it. Have watched it several times, and I follow on instagram.. Well I finally got the chance to have my first experience in store and to get to try one at the Boston Newbury St. location and I was incredibly disappointed. I hope we just caught them on a bad day because the cupcakes look so good usually. All of the cupcakes were incredibly dry we couldn’t even eat a whole cupcake which was upsetting because on my first day on my trip to Boston this was a must because we were staying close. The store itself was in very rough shape. Flooring torn and worn, scuffed up walls, and delivered packages covering the lobby area. No place to sit inside. The cashier told us they had no coffee at all with no idea of when they would get their equipment fixed and recommended we go next door for their coffee.. They had very nice people working there though.
Cupcakes tasted good but I was very disappointed that they arrived headless to my gender reveal party. Cupcakes with decapitated animals! For the amount of money they charge for shipping, I would've expected them to arrive intact.
mid, just ok, i got half a dozen and took a small bite of each because they were all bad and I thought the next one might be good. spoiler, it wasn’t. and it made my stomach hurt. the lady wasn’t the nicest either. wouldn’t go back, better off elsewhere.
The staff was super kind and patient with everyone even though it was crazy busy. I got the hummingbird cupcake and absolutely loved it, I highly recommend!
Super disappointed. I am normally a very understanding person. However I just received a call 1 hour before I was supposed to pick up my BIRTHDAY cupcakes that there was a technical difficulty and they didn't have any of the cupcakes I preordered and if I did choose to wait, it wouldn't be available until next week.... My birthday is tomorrow, now I am left scrambling trying to figure out what to do. If I were you, I would think twice about ordering from here, especially if you have a special event coming up. I will not be returning.
Super below average gluten free cupcake. It was dry and didn't even taste like cake. Nice guy working there though.
Cute little cupcake spot. Loved the variety and most of the flavors we got were good.
Tried the rose pink and red velvet cupcake. Both were great.
Love these cupcakes! Best of the best! Not overly sweet, soft frosting, just enough ratio of cake and frosting. Also so many choices of flavors!
