This place has fantastic food. My girlfriend and I live nearby and dine in/get takeout quite often and are always satisfied with our food. Definitely get the Xinjiang lamb skewers and Dan Dan Noodles.

Very small size of pork bbqAs you can see on attached pictures

Mediocre skewers at best. Friendship BBQ replaced one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Boston (Hot Eastern) but unfortunately this misses the mark. While there is a “grill” at the table, it is mostly for show as the skewers come cooked and there are just a couple tea light candles under the grill that provide minimal heat. Some of the skewers were cold when served and we were only able to get them to lukewarm before just deciding to eat them. The meats don’t taste very fresh (some even seemed over cooked/dry) and the seasoning sat on top of the skewer rather than fully seeping in with flavor. Also not great value for money vs other Chinatown spots - we spent $50 for 2 people and came away still a little hungry. Really hope that the owners can improve the food quality/experience as Boston needs a great skewer restaurant!

The beef skewers were delicious and wonton soup wonderful the problem is the service. I don't speak the same language as server and communication was difficult.

I haven't been there yet I just now seen the photos of the food that made me hungry I'm hoping to be able to go there next week and enjoy a meal it looks so delicious! ??? I haven't been there yet but I haven't forgotten about them! I have been occupied with upcoming back surgery and that's been foremost in my mind right now to get that done and over with so I can start rehabilitating and working on the second book as well! ???

Barbecue skewers chain that really needs huge improvements.I was excited to have my first bbq skewers in Boston, but they were utterly the worst skewers I ever had. The 30pcs pork and beer skewers special tasted like over-seasoned jerkies as they were clearly cooked ahead of time and reheated before being served. The Mongolian beef skewers that we ordered later were good, but overall, most of the skewers we tried were lukewarm and dry. Not being able to cook the skewers on the table not only took away the point of having meats on skewers, but also gave them excuse to serve low quality meat. The fish pot was ironically the best dish of the meal. It was a tad spicy, but far better than the skewers.

My husband Daniel and I had our rehearsal dinner here in October 2021. The food was amazing and the owner, So Lim, was incredibly generous and welcoming. He treated us to a tasting lunch, where he ordered literally nearly everything on the menu for us to try. He put together an extremely generous and well-priced menu package. He even made my favorite off-menu dish as a surprise!!! And best of all, he was our informal photographer for the event, sending us a bunch of pics that he took, which we cherish. And, of course, the food was excellent. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

Nice little spot. Almost didn't know it was there tucked in with a few other stores. Definitely will be going back to try more of their endless options.

This is by far one of the biggest disappointments I've had culinary in Chinatown it is $14 for 2 orders of skewers that contain I would could only say about 2 oz of meat over seasoned I can't even taste the flavor of the meat that I purchased I didn't know whether it was lamb or beef who knows it's a rip off please don't ever come here save your money go literally anywhere else

Grilled veggies are delicious.Everything seasoned great.Cozy place to eat.
