Thought the food was pretty average. The wings were good, my cheeseburger was just okay - bacon was undercooked. The service was very curt, basically minimal/transactional and forgot basic stuff like water. Good beer list and the cocktails can be tasty, but the ratios in my Negroni were way off. Overall a decent place to grab a drink and snacks.

Arrived at 1am on a Thursday night/early Fri morning as we needed food…and this place was such a treat. (They stop serving food at 1:30 and close at 2a). We had sweet corn ravioli ($22), fries ($6) and spicy sautéed green beans ($6). All were delicious - we were tempted to lick our ravioli plate because of the sauce! Great, fun atmosphere with lots of people having a good time. And great service, too!

I’ve lived in the south end to four years and always wanted to try Franklin Cafe, tonight I did, and sadly I won’t be going back. It took us 25 minutes to even get a drink order taken and almost 40 minutes from when we sat down to get our drinks. Then I got a cucumber collins but they were out of cucumbers. We got the wings which were just okay, nothing special, served with a sauce on the side not tossed in it. I got the meatloaf and asked for some kind of green vegetable on the side however, it was served with spicy style green beans and my meatloaf was sweet with raisins. The flavors didn’t go at all and was not a very tasty dish. Between the slow service and mediocre food quality, I’m bummed I won’t be able to make Franklin cafe my go to spot.

Best late night spot in Boston that I have tried. There isn't much for decent late night grub, this place is a pleasant surprise.

Cocktails were good, but pretty sure I got food poisoning from here. Overpriced food and drinks. Never coming back again.

Great scene for an after work drink. Solid music—cafe feel. Food looks and smells amazing.

Had a really nice time here, definitely more of a quiet speakeasy style of atmosphere with a good drink and wine list. All of the food we had was wonderful, the recommendation of the chicken entree with mushrooms was outstanding! My only issue with anything was that my gin martini was shaken, hard.

Been disappointed with restaurant meals as of late. Even the places that were solid before, seem to have lost a step in the pandemic. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of my meal here. I ordered the paccheri pasta with shrimp & the flavor was great. This may be my new go spot.

Awesome Place!! Been going here since it opened. Consistently excellent food and drink. Reasonable Prices and open late!

Food was delicious, was a little weird when we asked for a dessert menu we were told they only have an espresso martini as an option.
