After subtracting dairy from my diet a few years ago, there’s nothing I miss more than ice cream! Thankfully there are so many great vegan/dairy-free alternatives out there today — but even in an increasingly crowded field, FOMU stands out. Amazing texture, vibrant and creative flavors, just so yummy! Highly recommend.
So great to have a non-dairy ice cream place in town! Everything I’ve tried here is delicious. Ice cream is served COLD and it doesn’t instantly melt, even in summer. It’s a little pricey for what it is, but I think the quality makes it worthwhile.
The best ice cream in Boston! The scoops are well priced, I usually get the Mini because I feel like the complexity of the flavors lends itself to smaller portions. The flavors vary with the season, but they do have a few evergreens, like cookies and cream. The cakes are a bit more expensive than the scoops, but also good. Allergens are clearly listed. Oh, and it also happens to be vegan!
Very underwhelming! You can't try an ice cream nor they will warm a brownie for you !
This is my favorite ice cream, vegan or otherwise, and the staff is wonderful. They also have ice cream cakes!

I had such high hopes for this place, and the coffee sample I tried was really good, so I went all in and got 3 pints - coffee, cookies and cream, and grasshopper - figuring the cookie flavors were sure bets.Unfortunately the cookies and cream and the grasshopper (mint cookies and cream) were big let downs. The taste was just OK, and the texture was gummy and left a waxy feel in my mouth. =(I can't believe I'm saying this about ice cream, especially coconut cream based ice cream which usually is my favorite favorite, but I won't be finishing the pints I got other than the coffee. At $10/pint, that hurts the wallet as well.The person there was very nice though.
