In town for daughter’s graduation and husband wanted Ja food! Googled and found Flames pic look good, so we stopped in! No parking available. Found parking away off! We ordered curried goat with rice and peas, king fish and vegetables, peas soup with beef and the sweet and spicy wings. Good portions, food well seasoned and tasty and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this spot!
I miss the days when they had better bedside manners. The lady who served us was gruff for no apparent reason. We are not Jamaican food experts but we like to try foods from other cultures from time to time. Okay? Sorry we had to look at the menu for a little bit before ordering. Sorry we don't stop by regularly. No need to rush us.Food is still tasty. Thank goodness they're consitent there.
Great food, great price, great service. Authentic and delicious. Fast moving service. Ladies cooking up fire with their jerk chicken. Highly recommend.
This!! This is the EXACT taste we've been searching for. It's been 2 loooong years & we finally found it. Juicy flavorful oxtail, vibrant fresh veggies, perfect patties, fresh fragrant curry chicken, and spicy and flavored to rhr bone jerk! Almost everything was perfect. Even the seasoned sticky wings. The plain fried chicken was a wee bit dry and the mac n cheese (although beautiful and orange) was from a box. Cant wait to try the goat and other plates! Also their chicken soup and sorrel were both phenomenal! Sweet ladies too. No drive thru as advertised. So happy to find this gem. ♥️
Horrible attitude no matter how overly nice I am every time, I don’t mind I know work can be hard. This time though I was charged 25$ on my card for a medium plate of jerk and when I call the store no one answers all five calls. Great food but that’s a bit much.
My first time in Boston so I went to a Caribbean spot to get something to eat. The large oxtail was expensive despite the price the had posted online and at the store. Not too happy with the food either. I've had better in Jersey. IJS
Phenomenal. I got the curried goat, and its absolutely delicious. The sides as well, the rice and beans, veggies, and plantains are so tasty and everything goes so well together. The portions are big, and the service is friendly and fast. Will definitely be coming here a lot more.
Great and friendly staff. Fairly fast service, but dishes like curry chicken has an obscene amount of salt. The first time I thought they might have been heavy handed where the salt top fell off. But again and again? They need to relax on the salt and rely more on the actual flavor of spices.
So the food deserves 5 stars! I love oxtails from here. However the depending on which server you get they may barely speak or have an attitude.
