The corn dogs are good. Chicken is fried well and flavor is ok. We ordered the plates. They give you a lot of lettuce which is good since they don't come with the pickled radish. But I wouldn't put dressing on the salad next time because then the meal is unbalanced and feels really oily. The nori on top of the rice and fries was lacking. I could barely taste the seaweed. Not sure if it just wasn't enough or overpowered by the salt.
Overall very good.Soy garlic chicken was a must try. Korean classic. Korean corn dogs were excellent, and I loved the batter.Tteokbokki wasdelicious too, and served streetfood style on bamboo chopsticks. The only disappointment was the FIYA flavored chicken. Flavor was decent, but overall not salty enough, and too greasy.
I ordered the fried chicken tender with spicy garlic sauce this afternoon, was excited to take my first bite after the long wait. However, the coating and parts of the over fried meat was hard like rock, and the rest of the tender tasted like paper and no flavor… It was like chewing and craving a stack of thick paper with your teeth, (if you ever done it as a child you may know what I am saying here). Every piece that I tried it had to make a big effort to grind.I have went pass by Fiya Chicken on Comm Ave so many times, everytime went by the front it smelled delicious. After read many positive reviews I made my first order here today, unfortunately was a deep disappointment.Couldn't eat anymore, had to dump the rest.
This. is. the. place. We loved everything about it! The chicken is absolutely delicious, the fries are perfectly crispy, the cocktails are beautiful. There's even incredible doodle-style art on the walls which is fun to look at as your sitting at a table. The portions are big so it is priced very appropriately. Highly recommend going here.
Honestly one of the better places for Korean style chicken. The fiya chicken had a nice kick to it but it wasn’t overkill, outside had a good crunch but wasn’t hard as a rock and the inside was super juicy. The fries are INCREDIBLE. The corn dog was different but once you realize how well the flavors go together it’s fantastic. Also got kimchi and rice, the classics.
While the sandwich itself was good, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for a Korean joint. The sandwich was decently sized but that’s all you’re getting (not even fries on the side) for $15.Yeah you heard that right, $15 for a single chicken sandwich. No extras, no frills. The food isn’t bad by any means. But for the price it simply isn’t worth it. Fiya Chicken is nested between downright amazing food options in the Allston/Brighton neighborhood (Coreanos, BonChon, PhoViets, T-Anthony’s).All in all, it’s not bad, but “just alright.” If you’re craving Korean Fried Chicken that bad and are in the area, it warrants a try. The sandwich was certainly very tasty and was made with a ton of love. The ingredients are certainly quality, and the attention to detail is there, but this place just ain’t for me.
The lemonades are all pretty good. Some say it's a bit sour but I think it's just right especially since they sell fried and oily foods. I tried their Korean corn dogs with the ramen coating and I have to say it's really good. Their hot fries are also pretty good too. In my opinion they aren't that spicy but the heat does start adding up as you eat.
Really happy to stumble upon FIYA Chicken. I've been looking for well executed Korean Fries Chicken, and this place delivers a good product. I appreciate their take on Corn Dogs (some nice customizations available). The highlight though is their Fried Chicken (Taiwanese Basil as an appetizer, and Korean Fried Chicken in several flavor styles and formats such as wings / tenders / sandwich). Substantial portions for the price, and good flavors / textures.
The best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time. Spicy and zesty with kimchi instead of lettuce. How could you go Wrong. I also tried the corn dogs and it is by far the best I've ever had. The mango lemonade was so good I decided to try the blueberry one and it was even better. 7 stars! And BTW they use halal chicken simply because it's better quality meat. I agree!
I’ve had the fiya spice fried chicken sandwich from here twice, and both were pretty great! I do remember the spiciness varying a bit, with the second time being not too spicy (I do have a pretty decent spice tolerance, so it was perfect for me as I would prefer my fried chicken sandwich to not be overwhelmingly spicy), but the food was delicious nonetheless. The fries were great too!
