My favorite restaurant in Boston, my favorite is the ceviche de chicharron, the arepa con queso, and the bandeja paisa. I go here at least once a week, the prices are good, the food is fresh and the staff is incredibly nice.

This is a great restaurant, the ladies serving on the floor are amazing, but the floor manager is the star. If you want great food at a good price this is the place, now you may ask-if you like the place so much why did you give it 4 stars, well, the place is too small and it get crowded in a blink of an eye, so, if you want to enjoy the meal, call ahead and reserve a table.

Great service and food loved it

Fake prices don’t mach price in the menu when you pay price it’s different keep eyes and keep in mind Valenciana paella 80% rice 10 veggies and 10% meets so poorly I don’t recommend this place any more

Authentic Colombian cuisine.Fresh from scratch, with excellent ingredients. The Restaurant is clean, the staff is genuinely friendly, I recommend every single dish because each dish has been prepared with love, and with the highest quality and hygiene.

Great restaurant, great food amazing atmosphere. Will definitely go again but I recommend for anyone who is going there for the first time to get an English menu. And to ask how exactly is the plate setup because when I got was not what I was expecting. But it doesn't mean it was bad it was delicious. But to get your expectations to match what you want, it is better to take precautions if you do not speak Spanish.

Excellent place to enjoy authentic Colombian food.East Boston has a myriad of options for Hispanic food, but El Penol definitely stands out with its great quality food and friendly service. As attested by its consistent popularity among the locals, the place is certainly worth a visit.I recently had the chance to visit with my friends and got the tabla penol, bandeja paisa, and the soursop milkshake. Although we were the only non-Hispanic people in the restaurant, the servers were incredibly friendly and provided good explanations for the dishes we ordered. We started off with the tabla penol which was an assortment of different appetizers. Among these, my favorites were the fried empanadas and the pork rinds. Bandeja paisa subsequently came out in huge portions, and except for the steak, everything on the plate was delicious. The combination of fried pork belly, savory rice, and beans was especially satisfying. The soursop milkshake which tasted like a mix of coconut milk with honeydew was also a great drink to accompany with the food.Overall, these were undoubtedly the best south American dishes I had in Boston. Highly recommend checking them out.

Lovely authentic colombian cuisine, with varied menu options in generous portions. Soups are excellent, but so is their grill. Super friendly and warm service make this a wonderful option in East Boston.

Enjoy the bandeja paisa and the tostón with carne demechada (shreded beef)was very good. Good service too

Amazing authentic Colombian restaurant! The food is great, the service is awesome and so friendly. Highly recommend you try it if you want Colombian authenticity.I got the Bistec a Caballo, empanadas de Carne and arepas. The bistec alone is alot of food! Like alot! But yum! Totally worth it!
