Awesome! I love the food and atmosphere here
Tasty tortilla soup, burritos and chips / salsa. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lunch for two about $25. Friendly staff.
This place has gone downhill somewhat compared to 8 months ago when I first tried it. I think they also raised their prices. The best item is the taquitos - they are always served crispy and fresh with a side of guac and salsa. The tacos are decent, if lacking flavor, but the burritos are hit and miss despite being a generous portion. The tortillas have that weird prepackaged/artificial smell to them, the meat is a bit dull, and the fillings don't always taste as fresh as they could.
Pretty good Mexican food. Tried it for the first time today and I have no complaints. They make your food very quickly it took about 5 minutes from when I ordered until when I walked out the door. I didn’t get to try the guac or chips and salsa but they did look delicious. I got a chicken & steak plate. Had some good flavor and both the meats were cooked well and seasoned well. Looking forward to trying to other dishes from here.
The service is fast, which is good. The food is ok. Consistency will make or break if I spend money at an establishment. I ordered catfish here a couple of times. The last time that I ordered it... I opened my order and my fish was Covered in a sauce... I couldn't even eat it. They have a small place to eat outside. Anyway, worth a trip.
First time ordering from El Pelon. Ordered fish taco with spicy mayo. It was delicious and well presented and delivered within 30 minutes. My only issue is the lack of option on the taco shell. I prefer soft flour over the soft corn shell offered. Otherwise tasty tacos ?
Visiting from out of town; came here because of the reviews, and it is the most bland Mexican food I’ve ever had. This whole city hates seasoning. The staff is delightful though and prices are good.
For the price, it is absolutely some of the best Mexican food I've had anywhere around. The burritos are amazing, and I don't know how they do it but their tortillas are my favorite. One burrito is more than enough for a single person, and 10 burritos gets you one free one! The people there are also very efficient and quick with the food too.
The best Mexican food in Boston. So fresh and the flavors are on point. And for the price, you can't beat it. Once you eat here, you'll be disappointed by any other Mexican restaurant in the city.
Let's be honest, NOT authentic at all. I have never seen tacos with cucumber before. Although the meat is solid, the tacos are overall below average.
