A small no-frills Chinese diner with a solid clay pot rice and dumplings. My friends and I came here for dinner while walking around Chinatown. The place was mostly filled with locals, and we had a hard time placing the order as the owner lady didn’t seem to speak English. Nevertheless, she made sure that we got what we wanted, and everything was served quickly. I tried the clay pot rice with Chinese bacon and sausage, chicken, and pork patties, and everything was fairly good. The dumplings on the side also had a nice and savory pork fillings.
heard about the place and come expecting a nice homely moms and pop diner, but had one of the worst dining experience I've ever had in Boston. A shallow layer of small pieces of meat on very dried and plain rice. If only for the food I will give 3 stars. The young male waiter is rude, doesnt know how to communicate. The owner tried to get us to pay for 8 dollars of tips, which is as much as a 35% tip. we feel not respected and scammed.
Very authentic Chinese food! Feel like back home Not only the food but also the decoration and the atmosphere. Also very fair price with a great amount! But rememberCASH ONLY!
I like the food here, authentic and basic, nothing fancy. It may not have the best interior, but the quality of food is above average good.I like the chicken pieces that was lightly marinated. Sausage is lightly sweet and not over salty. My friend like having the slices of ginger in the beef clay pot rice. The little detail made the difference.
Definitely a local gem! I enjoyed the Chinese sausage and bacon clay pot dish (wait a bit and let the rice sit before mixing it up, you’ll be in for a crispy treat). Highly recommend the pan fried dumplings as well (devoured before I could take a picture). Keep in mind that this place is CASH ONLY!
wow wow wow. very hearty meals, perfect for this cold winter weather. everything well seasoned and tasted great. i loved the clay pot rice, especially the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot. just know that this place is cash only. we wouldve ate more but didnt have much cash on us.
Unique experience. Food was tasty. I scraped the crunchy dried up rice off the bowl which was delicious. Learned that this restaurant was traditional Chinese
Fantastic little place for a simple meal. This is comfort food for some of us. Claypot rice w choice of meat; congee as well.Fair warning... It's intimate, and O. G. style, which means you should set your expectations accordingly.
Chinese sausage and the beef were great! A lot of rice is given for each clay pot though
Ordered the Chinese sausage and bacon clay pot. Unfortunately, the rice was quite dry, and there could have been more toppings. $9, cash only.
