I loved this tour! It was so informative. Malachi did an excellent job in both entertaining and providing information. I worried about being really cold, but there are 2 inside decks with huge picture windows. I could easily pop outside to take a picture. I used a groupon for this tour, but I would have been satisfied if I had had to pay full price.
Dear City Cruises Boston,I would like to thank the management staff on the boat for being responsive and actively listening to the issues I faced. If anyone interested in this boating experience wants to consume alcohol, expect for the staff to unexpectedly and evidence-freely revoke your privileges whenever they please. They will not even provide an adequate or sensible reason as to why. Myself being a Hispanic American along with some African American colleagues one of which is an active military member, were just two of multiple in my party who were absolutely discriminated by some of the bartenders and general staff. I was completely sober and remember vividly being harassed by one of the employees stating he wanted to “kick my ass” if I didn't abide by his employee authority. Employee authority would, as I could assume, refer to accepting any employee yelling in my face to leave my colleagues for no apparent reason. I felt this was absolutely appalling to say the least. I attempted to make the most of this awful experience, but thought it would be best for any interested future clients to know well what they’re in for. Food was decent, drinks are strong but don’t expect great service except from the management positions on board! Be safe on this cruise and I’d suggest staying with friends as much as possible to witness any abnormal treatment.
I came to the Spirit of Boston cruise for my real estate society’s semi formal event. We were all so excited to get on the boat after the long trip to Boston. We were all dressed up and standing out in the cold waiting to be let on you the boat. Unfortunately, a few rule-breakers did try to sneak in a bit of alcohol, but hey - were in college after all. The staff of this cruise decided to cancel the trip altogether before many of us (myself included) even made it on the boat! We did NOT get our money back and we were basically told to figure it out. They left a group of young adults stranded in the cold streets of Boston and clearly took advantage of us. I would NEVER waste my hard earned money on this experience again. It was literally traumatic and I had to go to Applebee’s instead. You better give me my money back. DO NOT GO HERE
This is far and away the worst company I have ever dealt with. We organized a semi-formal trip on this cruise but upon arrival they refused service to us. They agreed to having all of us on the ship but once they visually saw how big the group was they kicked us off. They completely disregarded the fact that we gave them an exact number of people that would be there and kicked us off. Unbelievably rude and would not recommend even to my worst enemy.
Celebrated my birthday and had a blast. The workers were very helpful and made sure our group was taken care of.
We had a table for 4, paid the extra for a window seat, boarding was fine, found out table, bar service was good prices reasonable, buffet was average dishes were ok, no complaints, only issue I had was that I ordered 2 shrimp cocktails, and they never came, when the server came to the table I asked her about them, I said now we are done eating let’s forget about them and credit it back, I know she was very busy and like most companies short staffed, she left and returned with them, they were lousy, they were coated with some spices and were a yellow-green color, yucks don’t waist your money ? on them , desert was fair could of used more choices
If I could give a negative review I would! I am not one to complain or leave negative reviews but I don’t want anyone else to go through this. Booked the tour months ago and received a confirmation the day prior to the tour. Went to the departure point and it was completely dark, nobody there. Called the phone number to see what was going on, it was literally 5 minutes prior to departure time that I got someone on the phone and they said “there is a cancellation in progress”. Nobody was at the desk, no email was sent, nothing. Unbelievable. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR.
Best cruise ever. Is worth every penny. Good buffet, awesome music and great service and the view was gorgeous.
Wowwww the best experience. I love the ride, the food, the people, the service, see the people dancing and happy and boston at night is soooooo beautiful ?. I'm 100% recommend. My next ride on my birthday. And the best u don't feel the boat.
Fun experience, food was good and so was the dj. Beautiful night views of the city. Would highly recommend when traveling to Boston. We would for sure do it again if we come back.
