Great bar and restaurant across from Fenway Park. We didn't have a reservation but the hostess did her best to accommodate us. Great drinks at the bar. Food was really good. The fish chowder was delicious along with the fried scallop roll

Crazy whiskey list-great place to try some limited stuff. We only shared appetizers and they were pretty average-nothing to write home about. Service was impeccable however!

Very nice place ? ? ?Clean and nice with friendly server ? ?After a game at fenway Park, you can go there for food

The fish chowder was wildly good. The meatball sliders, too. Loved the gnocchi. Seriously good bartenders. And the oysters? So good! Can't wait to return.

When we made our first pass of the Citizen Public House there was a line out the door and no way to even get in. So, we walked and waited and then returned. No line, seating both inside and outside. We got placed at an outside tiny table for two in the corner, next to a pile of chairs, with no room to sit down, as in our two chairs were touching our table. The maître d' turned and left immediately. We had to ask the people at the table next to us to move so we could squeeze into our chairs. While it was a cool evening and the outside seating was heated, our table of misery was directly underneath one of the heating elements that was constantly blasting hot air. And then there was the barking dog on the other side of our table. We did order, the wait staff was excellent and the food was reasonable. The fish and chips were more than adequate and the 10 oz. sirloin burger was a solid example of what best burgers should be. All things considered, we will not return. While the food was good enough, the tight fit and lack of accommodation, or interest, from the maître d' made this a miserable experience. Perhaps take out would have worked better.

Definitely love this restaurant! The lamb shoulder main dish is awesome; it has similar flavor as labneh but even richer. the texture of rice combing the steed lamb is amazing. My friend likes the sauce for oysters, clams and shrimps.Try their beer also!

The good stuff: One of the best places to try out whiskeys. Their collection of whiskeys is very impressive and the bartenders are knowledgeable. The overall experience is very classy and it's a good place for a date night.I did not try the food, but had their desert option, Carmel bread Pudding and it was delicious! A must try. They also have a whiskey club for regular drinkers. The bad stuff: I guess they were short staffed ans I really had to shout all the time to place am order. We were not given attention and the bartenders were busy taking other orders. That is preventing me from giving 4 stars

I met Patrick & Robert at my job yesterday. What a joy to meet them!Because of them I will visit your restaurant. The menu looks fabulous!BUT I only want Bobby or Patrick to serve the meal.Your establishment is lucky to have such nice young men representing your restaurant!!Sincerely,Jackie

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I had the most outrageous dining experience last night- nothing like it has ever happened to me in any establishment. I was calmly having dinner with 3 friends. Upon one friend getting up to go use the restroom, and being in the process of putting his mask on to walk there, the bartender let out the loudest and most obnoxious WHISTLE I have ever heard. To alert my friend to put his mask on (which he was literally in the process of doing).Everyone in the restaurant stopped in their tracks, stopped talking eating and drinking, to look and see what horrible thing had happened based on the bartenders horrific shriek. Also to note, his coworker behind the bar was wearing his mask around his chin the entire night. So, not only did this bartender harass my friend for no apparent reason, he ruined our dinner and interrupted everyone else’s, to make some sort of moot point, that he should have directed at his co-bartender and his chin-mask. If you’re looking for a fun and happy night, do not come here. Also, food was trash.

There isn’t anything redeeming about this place outside the location. Food is FINE at best. Drinks are over priced. Bartenders are rude and ridiculous when it comes to covid policies. Yelling at me to wear a mask when I walk to bathroom (fine) only to wear a mask around their chin when serving, what a joke. Frick off. Don’t waste your money or time.
