A group of 9 of us went to dinner after a long day of meetings. The menu had been preselected by the colleague who had organized everything else. The food was amazing, the service impeccable. The ceviche was heavenly, for that matter, everything was divine. My personal favorites were the chive spaetzle (exquisite) and the chedder biscuits and pea salad that accompanied the fried chicken. (I could eat a hundred of those biscuits!) I have one food allergy and the waitstaff was extremely careful to make sure I knew what was in each dish.
Great service, great food , great space. Great skilled chefs. I highly recommend.
There were 6 of us all new to this spot. Food was actually very good. Drinks, for their minuscule size, were expensive-$15 a drink. And while we loved the multitude of servers, our main man Owen, well not so much. We will leave it that. We sat outside but would like to come back and sit at the bar.
My second visit after a year. We had some pleasant surprises and disappointments. They expanded the menu now includes four entrees. We had the slow roasted duck, which was smokey and tender. It was significantly better than the fried chicken that we tried the first time. The appetizers, small plates, and pasta dishes were excellent. The squid ink fusili was a bit too salty. The big disappointment was the dessert menu. The strawberry tart was fine, except it tasted like something you could buy from whole foods, for half the price. The baked alaska that we tried the first time looked and tasted like an environmental disaster. No flames, and molted. Service was okay. Would not return unless they hire a new pastry chef.
Warning: don’t sit outside if you’re going on a date because it’s extremely noisy. There were a bunch of cars that were drag racing on the other side of the street so the constant engine revs ruins the vibe of sitting outside. The asparagus carbonara was excellent. It’s rich and creamy, and the raw noodle-like asparagus was fresh and citrusy and balanced out the carbonara. 10/10It was my first time eating bigoli and I was instantly a fan. At first I thought the noodles were raw but they’re just pretty thick and have a bite to it. The green garlic sauce tasted so good and stood out because I haven’t had anything like it before. The sauce tasted like Indian green chutney, in a good way. Razor clams were delicious and a great touch.I would also recommend getting the White Witch cocktail. It’s one of those cocktails you just gotta try. It's made with overproof rum and ABSINTHE! I've been told it's the waiters' favorite cocktail.I loved the food here, it was DELICIOUS, but it’s hard to justify the prices. We ended up with a $100 check (incl. tip) for two cocktails and two “tapas” styled dishes. However, it's definitely a must try restaurant.
I love Chickadee! The food is exceptional! Eagerly anticipating a return visit tonight! Go Celtics!! ?
Wow! The food was delicious, creative, hearty, and elegantly presented. Everything was great, but the squid ink fusilli was the clear standout: each bite contained a different combination of exciting and rich flavors. The service was also impeccable. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the kitchen made several on-the-fly adjustments to various dishes to accommodate my girlfriend's allergy (we didn't even need to ask). We were blown away by the entire experience and can't wait to return!
Delicious food met with even better service! We sat at the bar top and the bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended this drink (pictured, but cannot remember the name!) and it was unlike anything I’ve had in a good way! We tried the dips/spreads with fresh pita, chickpea panisse fries, and crispy kale salad. Everything was so tasty and I can’t wait to come back and try more.
Delicious food, casual and cool atmosphere, great service. The dishes were a little bigger than expected, so we couldn’t finished all of them. The steak tartar different than traditional ones, but a perfect experience, and sweet pea gazpacho also super tasty and fresh, to me, it was better than traditional Spanish gazpacho. Main dishes were lamb, duck, fish and lobster pasta. All dishes were surprisingly delicious. The duck one of the best my husband ever had before. I would certainly go back.
Really delicious food. Sat at the bar, the bar tending staff were nice and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Photo is of the split pea gazpacho, highly recommed.
