Went here with friends who were visiting Boston. We went early to a ball game at Fenway and upon recommendation from their hotel clerk, went to Cheeky Monkey. We sat in a booth just inside the door. The atmosphere was fun and there were beginning to be crowds of people as the game was set to start in an hour. A good place for food and a pre-game beer. Our first beer was delivered by an experimental server robot which was a fun experience.I can recommend the shaking beef and the 3 Lansdowne beer and the wild blueberry beer. They craft them onsite! There was some outdoor seating as well as bar and booth seating. There was a whole extended back room with pool tables and a second bar that was empty when we went. There was also a fire place and couch set up back that way. When we were done it was really starting to get busy as we popped across the street to Fenway Ball park. After the game there was a line down the street to get in!

Last night we were seated before the concert and had to wait at least 15 minutes for drinks; were told that the drinks had to be redone (a beer and a martini). Decided to move to the bar for the possibility of better service; bartender did not acknowledge us and was busy eating fudge cookies. Had to ask another bartender if we could get menus. So bizarre - all the bartenders seemed like they were terribly bothered to be there. Left after one drink at the bar. Manager, hoping service and morale improves!!

Okay so it was very crowded before a night game at Fenway, but you could still tell that it was a bit more than the usual Fenway beer bar, it was a true brew pub with a fine selection of its own brewed beers, We had a flight and especially liked the double IPA whose catchy name escapes me now, somebody’s ghost. Most impressive, however was the chili calamari, nicely and lightly fried with peppers on a lime cream sauce, one of the best fried calamari’s we have tried and they have been numerous

We got there early and were lucky to get a patio seat before the Paul McCartney concert. This was a such a fun spot to take in all of the people and to pregame for the concert. The beers and drinks were solid, but nothing to bowl you over. It's supremely located so stop by if you can get a spot.

Stopped in for a few beers with friends. Had some of their in house beers and was happy with the price, service and quality of the beer. Definitely a place I'll go back to.

DISCLAIMER: The Icelandic menu was phenomenal and the chef deserves all the praises in the world for his dishes, this is not a review for him. This is actually a hostage situation. You can understand my dilemma by looking at the two photos I have posted, the on-table advertisement told us we were getting some ridiculous (but fun looking!) drink with the garnishes of unicorns and orange slices (look close it mentions both of those in the print). The second photo I posted is what we got: no fun crazy straws (that's ok, we had longer bendy straws that worked better), no orange slices, and the worst of all... no unicorns (I added them myself as stickers on the photo, those aren't real unicorns). I'd like to state for the record that we didn't want this drink, we wanted the unicorns and the drink was the vessel to acquire said advertised unicorns. Our waiter decided to run off to put the order in a hurry, telling us on his way off "no promises on the unicorns." This goes without saying that this is clearly false advertising. I'm holding a Google star hostage for each of the three unicorns that I'm missing, the owner or GM can respond here and I will follow up with the restaurant.I took 1 Google star off in general due to the fact that FoH is a mess for a 5:30 reservation, I get it's Lansdowne, but you need to have your ducks in a row before dinner service starts. Also some random server (not our waiter) took away the Taste of Iceland paper menu and left the others at our table which sat there for our whole meal (I wanted to keep the Iceland one as a momento, but oh well). We had no place settings, and I had to ask for silverware when our appetizer arrived from the maitre d. Also for the record, we also only had a butter knife to cut the lamb, so that was a bit unfortunate we needed to destroy such a beautifully cooked piece of meat to eat it. So best this review can become is 4 Google stars, but until my demands have been met for those unicorns best I can do is offer 1 Google star.

We went here for the boston icelandic food festival, and we were not impressed. There was not much of any theme for the festival besides a couple additions to the menu, which they were out of one of the two main courses (the lamb rack of ribs)We did play ping pong while we waited, which was fun, but the time estimate for a table that they gave us was under an hour, and by the time we were seated with some drinks, it was pretty close to 2 hours. The food was fairly good, though the portion sizes were pretty small for the price.Service was slow, though they were pretty packed so I don't want to be too harsh on that point, but they forgot one of my drink orders.

Good menu and beer and drinks. Pricing good. Service great. Calamari is delicious with a spicy sauce. The Korean beef tacos yummy.

quite frankly the worst burger ive ever had & the bar service was awful. pool table area is great. also love the blueberry beer.
