Chinese Dim Sum

I didn’t like at all, the foods wasn’t delicious at all. The price way too expensive for the quality of the food. It cost me 110$ and they force you to pay 18% of tips too. I would never go back again. First and last experience. The place is seems not very clean at all.

The service was good, we were greeted immediately. Food came fairly quick. The shrimp fried rice was a bit stale, we hardly made a dent. What won us over was the spicy shrimp and walnut honey shrimp, a bit expensive, not too much quantity, but tasty. We also enjoyed the fresh scallion pancakes.

I've been going here for at least 20 years. This is one of my regular spots for dim sum and dinners.Like most restaurants, in the Era of covid, I think times have been tough. They have had to change things a bit. Not all for the worse though. You can now order dim sum off a menu. This is great for us because we usually show up late. Ordering off the menu insures that our food is hot and fresh. All of the standards are great. Shumai, Har Gow, etc. are all excellent. If you are adventurous, or just like tripe, I highly recommend the beef tripe. It's the best around. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. We especially look forward to seeing Amy. She has watched our kids grow up from babies to college students. She always asks about them. The regular menu dishes are excellent as well. Do yourself a favor and try the fried silver fish and the salt and pepper shrimp or pork or calamari or any other varieties of it. So good! Sautéed peapod stems is another must try.If you like chinatown quality food, want parking and stay in Boston, this is the spot.Like seeing Amy, going to Chau Chow is like spending time with an old friend.

Truthfully, they are really good with the food and the service is good too. This time I came the Dim sum was cold. This is not acceptable but covid they have to do something different?I brought friends from out of state to introduce them to good Dim Sum in Boston. And the food came out cold. Very sad.But over all they always deserve 5 star. But because of this it would be a 4 stars

I love having dim sum @ Chau Chow! Attentive staff, delicious food. Always enjoyable.

Man, it's been a more than a blue moon since I've been here. It seems like they're waiters were overwhelmed which meant for us to take forever to flag them down to place orders for dim sum. Probably not their fault and perhaps other restaurants are like this right now too.The food itself was just ok. The shrimp rice rolls tasted a bit funky... Like the verge of going bad? Everything else was standard...ha gao, siu mai. We got a plate of Chinese broccoli...the plate was very small. If it weren't for parking and tables available, we would probably go elsewhere.

We ordered vegetable fried rice, scallions pancakes, spicy shrimp and noodles with chicken and broccoli and a wonton soup (lunch for 2); the rice was not like before (at all) tasted like old rice you could count the pieces of vegetables in the rice, the scallions were ok (not like before either), the fried spicy shrimp was good and the noodles…. not good at all. I like that restaurant I guess it was not my day.

Ordered silverfish, got cod fish (so said the waiter) cut into small pieces. Silverfish is very expensive. $22 for this order. I complained and they resisted but eventually they noticed that I was filming and they relented and refunded the cost of the silverfish.

Thee food is scrumptious especially their spicy fried shrimp & lobster are indeed bon appetit ???

Great food . Shumai is the best. I will recommend it to everyone. The boss is so friendly .
