We had a company training event for a group of about 20 people in town. Looked for a good Italian place and found Cantina Italiana. Was able to get a reservation for our group (no problem). Food, wine, and service was great. Definitely will come back here next time.

Our dinner experience was awful. We ordered a salad and soup. No sooner did we get these items and they brought our dinner out. We told them that we were not ready, so they took he meals back to the kitchen. When they brought the dinners back, the food was cold. During the dinner we never got asked if everything was ok. We never got refills on our sodas. We never got asked if we wanted dessert. All around, this dinner was very disappointing.

Since the renovation, this is a much more pleasant place to enjoy a solid Italian meal in the north end. A little noisy for a weeknight, but it's the summer tourist crowd.

Very bland food and atmosphere. Disappointing all around.
Beginning with the warm greeting by the hostess, our experience at Cantina Italiana was top-notch. Our friendly waiter, Chris, was superb, catering to our desire for a leisurely experience that was rushed so that others could take our spot sooner. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the meals that we chose and the cocktails and wine that accompanied and enhanced them.
Food was very good, service is a little slow and can be rude at times, but was still great overall!!
The food was amazing! Great service and friendly waitstaff. We had a reservation for two at 8:30 on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. Casual atmosphere and a great place to eat was visiting the North End. Highly recommend!
