During the week last week I was ignored by service staff. I moved to a more noticeable seat. The server moved the chair at my table to get an order from the table I had been at. I had to speak up to get service. I ordered food and a latte. The food was delivered without a spoon or napkin. My drink and food were very good. I never saw my server again. I left cash.
I went to this place with my family, it was 8 of us looking to get a nice hot chocolate and coffee at this place after finding it on Google maps. I was the only one in a bike so when I stopped in front of the place a blonde older woman comes rushing out right away and very rudely yells at me to move so I told her I am but that I was going to buy something here so she continues to rudely tell me to move when I wasn't blocking anyone and was not even 20 seconds there.. she didn't even give me a chance so I asked her what her problem was and if she was the manager but all she said was that it didn't matter and she continues to shu me off...soooo effin rude at this time I yell back at her and left I've never been treated so rudely for no reason... If this was the owner she's a very unpleasant person and needs help. If it was an employee, that employee should be fired!!
Best mocha latte in Boston -- the most crema, the perfect sweet to bitter ratio, high quality chocolate, no swan or leaves art pattern but I won't hold that against them because the mocha is a bit of heaven in a cup. When the weather is mild and the front wall is open, this is a pleasant place to sip your fabulous mocha and watch the river of tourists go by, if you don't mind the cars and trucks of Hanover Street slowly rolling by as well.
Stopped in with a group of eight people for martinis and gelato . Drinks, gelato, and wait staff were good but owner “prowls” the restaurant making snide comments and barking orders which ruined the entire experience. We spent about $300 on gelato and 3 rounds of drinks during our 75min stay. As we neared completion of each drink she hovers over you saying she needs the tables and you need to move on despite having empty tables in resturant. With all of the good places in the North End I would recommend others just because of her!
We have been going to caffe Vittoria for 50 years but had to change because of such rude service and attitude for the past few years.Today we went to caffe Paridiso and had excellent friendly service with our coffee and dessert. What a difference. We will be back again. The cappuccino and pastries were better then Vittoria also.
Pistachio gelato is to die for!! And coffee is so good!! Truly a gem in North End, and so is Miss Adriana!!
Great coffee, very much superior to all the chain coffee shops. Good cannoli, slightly too sugary cream for my taste.
Nice ambiance for coffee, pastries, drinks with friends. Small space and tables packed in. You can smell the stranger next to you and hear their life story.Delicious Limocello, pistachio and espresso martini is popular here.Service was good. Had friendly server. You'll see old people young people. Typical north end population.Bathroom downstairs.
Great spot for authentic espresso, coffee drinks, and Italian desserts. I enjoyed the classical ambience combined with table service; it was nice not having to crowd the coffee bar. I was a little disappointed that there was a $10 card minimum. If you are hoping to just enjoy a coffee or two, you’ll be put in a bind.
One of the two of my favorites cafes in North End! Love the coffee, love the pastries. In the summer you must try their homemade sangria! It's to die for!
