Like many people, I like my coffee in a very particular way. I can't handle caffeine very well anymore and I like my coffee strong. I ordered 3 shots of espresso (2 decafe and 1 regular) over ice with the intent of adding some cream after the drink was presented to me. This is where it went off the rails. They rang it up as $7.70, I was was tired that day and did not note the error. The barista started to make the shots and put each one in its own shot cup with a lid and ice. I said "can I get it in a single cup?". A woman came out of the back of the store and shouted "No! Your just gonna go over there and make an iced latte!". I was like what? Then she repeated her statement. I said "How much is an iced latte?", she said "$4.30". I responded "I paid $7.70 for those 3 shots and you are worried I am going to make a less expensive drink with it?". She responded "I am not gonna let you make a latte!". She was incensed. They gave me my 3 shots and I will never return. Unfortunate because the coffee is pretty good.
I was served raw chicken. I started to eat while I was on the move so I didn’t stop to inspect my food which was a huge mistake. After realizing the chicken was as soft and chewy as the mozzarella I decided to examine the chicken and it was RAW!! I knew something was off my the texture and taste. If I get food poisoning I’m suing. You would think an expensive sandwich would at least have cooked chicken. Never coming back here.
Well, I guess these Cafes' are, somewhat of a relatively new franchise/chain, perhaps only located on the East coast.Never heard of them on the west coast before.Quite possibly, trying to copy the enormous materialistic conglomerate of Star "Bucks".And, also of, many smaller privately owned real Cafes', of true Italiano/French decent.Anyways, aside from the small-minded materialistic intentions of most modern places, these days.It does do an excellent job, in recreating, a rustic Italian atmosphere, with decor, lighting and furnishings.Even an awesome centered fireplace? ???? Really cool or Hot, which ever is your preference.Unfortunately, only a couple of real Italian pastries, cannolis and somewhat of a tiramisu. But no Neapolitans the absolutely most delicious pastries. And, it's great that they have music, in the background. However, the selection, could be far better ???????Anyways, Cheers and enjoy. ????♂️
Service is ALWAYS on point!! I can never get over how nice and hospitable the baristas here are!Coffee is made the same regardless of who makes it, which I like. Food is also made the same every time, but it’s usually overpriced for what you get.Vibes are cozy with a hint of corporate - so a step up from Starbucks for sure!! This is usually my second or third choice behind Espresso Yourself or Ula. Definitely worth checking out more local joints before this one, but Cafe Nero is still really nice!
unpleasant service experience. barista talking down at me condescendingly when there was confusion on my part ab a drink. they repeated their question multiple times like i was a child instead of clarifying. everyone has bad days, bad moments, etc. and i imagine this job is incredibly taxing. But i was also at the end of my rope after a long day and almost burst into tears right then and there. other 2 baristas were nothing but lovely. really made me sad and upset idk
Excited to be handed a hot cappuccino. Problem is, it is not hot and covered with so much cinnamon, like a mouthful I had to skim off the top of milk. Blech!
I'm sorry to write a mediocre review but my experience was not great.Very nice café, convenient location with parking nearby. Pleasant interior décor and music, free wifi, clean restroom. But very busy around lunch time. People were standing in line and it took me a while to order. The only veggie option I saw was cheese sandwiches. I ordered two because they're so small. I did not know they cost more than $8 each, since the prices were not shown anywhere :-/The sandwiches were served with no fork, so I had to use my hands to peel the melted cheese that was stuck to the paper. It was not filling, I left hungry and with a heartburn from the cheese. I went somewhere else for coffee and dessert. Good place to work on a laptop, but not good value to eat here.
Love their whole grain Croissant .. it's a must to try it
It was nice to find this place in Boston. Nothing extraordinary just a nice place. I enjoy their grilled cheese sandwiches so when ever I find one near me I'm happy!
Best Cappuccino in town! Feels like I'm in Italy.
