I go a few times a year for odds/ends and sometimes a sandwich and soda. Its always good. This year I got their pizza chiena for Easter (only available at Easter) and it was a good deal and saved me a lot of cooking

Amazing sandwiches. I went with the classic panino and it didn’t disappoint. My family is from a line of master bakers and the bread was fresh and a good structure. Wish there was some indoor seating but there are two benches outside.

After a long day of walking Boston, we stopped here for a take away meal. It is down the alley from the restaurant perhaps 20 feet from Hanover Street. Many sandwich options and I would take a look at their website to get an ideal of what you want. The Panino was the winner across the board and reminded us of the ones we had the last time were in Italy. The chicken parmigiana was decent and we also enjoyed the meatball sandwich. Prices were reasonable and appropriate for the size of the sandwich. There were premade pastas in the refrigerated section that were tempted to get. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking as expected is a challenge as we knew it would be in that area. It’s just easier to park and enjoy your day walking around. Would recommend you look online for options to save money by making a reservation and paying ahead. We used the 75 State Street Garage and paid online for a much cheaper rate than just driving in. They send you a QR code that you scan as you are entering and exiting the garage. It was seamless. Would definitely return in the future. Enjoy.

This spot is definitely a hidden gem. I’ve only ever gotten the sandwiches which include the Chicken Parm, Panino, Meatball, and Porchetta. All of them were amazing, but my personal favorite was Panino. They sizes are pretty big and usually end up around $10-$12 per sandwich which is totally fair for the quality and the size. One sandwich is usually enough for 2 meals for me.They also do catering, which is something I’ll definitely plan to try in the future of because how good the food is.

Love the sandwiches and friendly staff!

Absolutely the best sandwich shop I've been to in a long time. Little hole in the wall at the end of an alley, best bread, authentic meats and they sell pasta and oils for cooking. 100% recommend, these guys are the real deal!!

Great Italian past, bread and imported meats

Hidden gem in the north end. Fantastic selection of meats + cheeses, pasta, sauces etc.Appreciate the selection of Gluten-free pastas from Italy.

Well worth turning off the busy Hanover St. sidewalk in Boston's North End and heading down the narrow, clean alley. We took an out of town friend and got chicken parm, caprese, and Italian cold cut sandwiches with three Pellegrinos for, I think, $41 (plus a healthy tip, because the service was quick and efficient). We took it all out to a table on the Greenway and watched the world go by. Delicious real Italian subs. I was in Mortadella heaven!

I had high hopes for the Italian sub, however, it fell short due to the minimal about of deli meat. It was mostly lettuce which was an absolute bummer as the bread, cheese and meat tasted amazing. Willing to give it another try although this time I won't get anything with deli meat.
