Billy’s is awesome! It’s got that super local “everybody knows your name” feeling to it that you don’t see often. When I sat in and ate, I chatted with the guy working there and you could see how fantastic of a relationship they had with all their regulars. The food is good and not expensive at all. Looking forward to becoming a Billy’s regular!
Hole in the wall frequented by locals and construction workers. Great food, had ham and cheese omlet and wife had grilled blueberry muffin both were perfect. Staff was really good, could not have been better, don't miss this spot!
I definitely recommend the meatball sub I'm very picky with that style of sub but they definitely hit it out the ball park the flavor, they put a good amount of the meat in the sub... the sauce flavor delicious...Much respect and I'll be seeing you guys shortly again, I drive from South Boston... And trust there is sub shops I go to here, but the meatball substyle that you guys provide way better than anything over here...
Walked over here after being told I’d have to wait over an hour and a half for a table at one of the trendier spots off newbury. The gyro pita was excellent, as was the chicken salad sub. The fries were basic but exactly what we were looking for. Great prices, portions, and friendly service.I can’t wait to go back!
The last good deal left in the South End, maybe all of Boston. While their competitors in the area are starting to charge near $20 for a lone sandwich, you can walk into Billy’s with a tenner and get a meal with fries and a soda. Owned by the sweetest family you’ll ever met.
It was pretty clear this place was a local favorite. I was recommended to grab breakfast here while visiting Boston, so I dropped by around midday but got a platter, scrambled eggs with home fries and toast. There's a fair amount of seating, but the place was packed with people standing and waiting for their orders, service personnel, police and construction workers. While the owners greeted everyone by name and with personalized questions it felt like a very welcoming atmosphere. Food was alright. Might try again next time I travel to Boston, when there's less of a crowd.
Excellent, consistent food. Hands down my favorite sandwich spot in Boston/Cambridge. Not fancy (this isn't blunch). Rather, expect quality ingredients and exceptional value ($10 for a sub that can easily feed two people). Family owned & operated for 30+ years and shows in the product.
Good prices, and everything I've eaten from here is very delicious. It can be crowded around lunch since this is a good choice for food.
First time in Boston and we decided to try this place out since it was across our hotel, SO GLAD we did! Friendly vibe, quick service! So many things to choose from! I ended up getting a pepper, spinach and cheese omelet and it was yummy! Don't forget to get ketchup though! I didn't realize I didn't have any in my bag until I got to my room but the food was tasty enough to eat without it. Good portions for the price! My husband got a chicken sandwich and loved it! The only pics I took were from the menu the next day when we passed by but it was closed. Highly recommend it!
I am impressed with friendness of this place. The food is guite good. The prices are good. I am a cheapskate. The portions are good.
