I ordered through Uber Eats. I ordered the Crispy Chicky and Summer Corn. First off, I wanted to give props on an excellent presentation. The food was packaged well and looked phenomenal when unboxed. As far as taste, this is one of the best Vegan restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. The corn is very flavorful with a hint of spice. It has a rich, creaming, buttery taste that gets better with every bite. The cilantro adds a little citrus taste, which keeps the dish vibrant. The Crispy Chicky salad was also very good. The “Chicky” was indeed crispy, with a satisfying crunch. However, it was still flavorful and went well with the salad. The combination or wonton chips, oranges, almonds, carrots, and kale/romaine fulfilled a need I didn’t know I had. Then add the ginger dressing…oh my! I’m glad my wife wasn’t around to see me in the act, this was sinful.I highly recommend and plan to visit the restaurant in person before I leave town.
The employees, or at least the ones we encountered, made us feel like we were unwelcome or bothering them. I greeted them by saying "hey there how are you?" and I got no response, just a cold tired stare. It felt so uncomfortable and awkward, I was only being friendly and got shut down for it. My friend wanted a cup for water, she was given a cup with no response and the cashier just walked away. We had no earthly idea the pump on a table way off in the corner shot water out, it's barely visable. So we just stood there looking around for anywhere to fill it up before another employee that was leaving for the day pointed it out. Also, there was a nail sticking out of one of the booth seats that cut my leg, and when I told them about it they just hammered it back in a little. It still sticks out a bit and they made it sound like it was MY problem the nail was there, like it was exclusively my own issue and not the store itself having a sharp nail jutting out of where people sit. "There, is that better?" she said with a snarky tone looking at me like I'm some child that complained about something. Someone could really get hurt from it! Look out for that if you plan to visit, we won't be returning.
Was it better when it was By Chloe? Maybe, I don't know. Their food is pretty tasty vegan fast food. I absolutely love the quinoa taco salad. Also the choice of sweet potato and regular fries in the same container. Wonderful. I always felt their NYC locations that were always slammed with business were slightly better. And offered mouth watering breakfast options every day. Still if you are in the Newbury St area, definitely worth grabbing something.
Friendly staff, clean restaurant, amazing food. We ordered the corn poppers for a side, the hot chicky and a caesar salad and it was all fantastic! Very, very flavorful!
Awesome selection of delicious vegan food! I went here twice during my short trip to Boston because eit was so good! I love the swinging chairs and atmosphere as well.
I was visiting from a city with limited vegan options, so I knew I had to try this. The Mac n cheese was to die for; I have a dairy allergy and I haven't been able to eat something like this ever. I would eat this every day if I could. But the normal fries (while I appreciated that they were air fried) were kind of cold and Chewy in a not-great-way. The burger with Guacamole was okay, but I feel like it could use some more acid because the burger patty itself is so heavy. Lemonade wasn't too flavorful. The guy at the counter acted like i was the biggest inconvenience ever and didn't talk to me once while I was getting my food; he acted like I wasn't there until I had to ask if there was a pick up order for me and then he just handed it to me with a glare. Overall I would go back for the Mac, but definitely not the fries, burger, lemonade, or customer service.
Wow the food is so delicious! I mean high-end restaurant quality without the pretentiousness! By far the best cauliflower I’ve had. The sweet potatoes were crispy yet meaty -I think they dry fry them? They’re so good! The service is caring and humble. And the atmosphere is great! Clean, spacious, and elegant. It was definitely worth it to stop by to check it out.
I haven't ever had a gluten free and vegan chicken sandwich option because usually the vegan chicken replacement is made of some sort of wheat. Luckily this one was tempeh and it was absolutely the best sandwich I've had in a long time! I got the Hot Chiky and a gluten free cookie, and the cookie was so good as well! Great and flavor texture for both, and the space is very vibrant.
Easily some of the best vegan food I've ever had (some of the best "any" food, too).Highly recommend trying anything here, whether you eat meat or not. It's very rare to find a restaurant that has put this much thought into every dish, and seems to execute perfectly, too.We went three times in three days while visiting Boston, and can't wait to come back next time.
Cute store, friendly service and amazing tasty veggie dishes! Great location!!!
