A little history. I used to come to Boston for work at least once a year early on in my employment. In 2013 or 2014...I had the best chicken saltimbocca.. I could not for the life of me remember where I had it and had been searching for the place online for years.I walked in Antico Forno the other day...on my birthday...to do a food tour (North End Boston Food Tour with Robert/Bobby Agrippino - excellent/the best).... the second I walked in the door I realized where I was and I'm glad to have found it again. I didn't try the saltimbocca on the tour... but the pizza was phenomenal.... we went back a second time. Authentic Italian. Neopolitan. Wood fired. Pizza. San marzano tomatoes. The crust is perfect and the sauce is delicious. I highly recommend making a stop whenever you are in the general Boston area! There are aome absolutely lovely people working there.... and I HEARD.... ??? that J.Lo and Ben have been spotted there. ?❤️(We went back a second time in the same long weekend...get the eggplant.)

There are nearly countless restaurants in the Little Italy section of Boston. Walking up and down the street offers smells and scenery but neither is a final judge on the food or even the service. Unusual, we didn’t review TripAdvisor prior to the visit as we had been walking the Freedom Trail for much of the day. We finally chose Antico Forno on Salem for dinner as much out of tiredness and the need to get off our feet. The sign stating “Brick Oven” wasn’t a determining factor at all, in fact when most of the other sites had the Italian name outside we didn’t see the real name at first. However Antico Forno was perhaps the finest meal we had while visiting Boston. Caprese, Arancini, and mussels and clams in a spicy sauce were all excellent. Service was professional as well as courteous. You cannot always tell what’s inside by a sign but this one located at 93 Salem provided a great meal, and reasonable price that was memorable.

Lobster ravioli was excellent. The atmosphere was so neat, and staff was very friendly. Only reason I didn’t give five stars is the veal in my husband’s dish was tough. Overall we really enjoyed this place though! Would go back.

This is an all authentic North End (Italian) experience. From greeter to servers to cuisine to chefs, it all seems a genuine, homely experience. We had a pizza, which was made in their wood-fired brick oven (predictably) and an Eggplant parmesan-like dish. Portion sizes were good, taste excellent, service just right. A little blot - the bread that came at the beginning was not quite tasty and could have been better. Will try other restaurants in this area (and there are plenty!) to check them out.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here with another couple during our 3-day visit to Boston. We ordered the lobster ravioli, linguini fruti del mare, lasagna bolognese and a pizza. All four entrees were excellent and portions were very large. Atmosphere was pleasant and service was excellent. Reservations recommended.

Loved, the food. We ordered a Salmon dish and it was soft and deliciously cooked Along with it we ordered lasagna and pizza. All of them were so delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. It was the first night we arrived and started off our vacation perfectly. Everyone of us enjoyed our entrees and we loved the Arancini appetizer. The Lasagna Bolognese was my favorite and highly recommend ?. We also had Lobster Ravioli, Spagetti Carbonara, and Fettuccine Alla Bolognese. Loved the inside and outside of the place. It was pretty loud inside however. Will go back!

This is a 5 out of 5 experience. Before you even walk in the doorway you know this is the place you want to be. The staff was quick to seat and took your drink order first thing. Our waitress was top shelf. Her knowledge of the menu was precise and she gave us her view of some of the food items. Our appetizer was clams and mussels steamed and in a sauce that popped in your mouth as it was so good. Our waitress brought us additional bread to soak up the sauce. The entrees were excellent. Your felt as if you were in a welcoming large kitchen with some of your best friends. The bill was very acceptable and we expected it to be much higher. We gave our waitress a great tip. If you come to Boston take a few moments to dine here. Well worth it!!

We ordered pizza and pasta for take out. Pizzas were tasty with prosciutto and veggies, a classic margarita and an original pistachio pesto with sausage. Would order pizzas again! We also ordered a carbonara with huge chunks of lardons- wouldn’t recommend unless chewing on fat is what you’re after!

I was looking for having dinner here and one friend recommended it to me but it was really disappointing. The food was mediocre: the pizza's ingredients tasted well but it was burnt, the pasta didn't taste as handmade. The price was average for an Italian restaurant in Boston I guess (around 40 usd per person with wine without dessert). Our waitress was not kind and gave us the recipe twice despite we told her that we hadn't finished our food.
