I got probably the best beef I've had in MONTHS here yesterday, it was go good I felt that it's only fair that I leave this 5star review. The beef was fresh and rare, the roll was toasted to perfection AND I ordered a 5way which they don't even have on the menu and they were more than happy to accommodate and make it for me anyway. Keep slanging heaters.
Just grabbed a 3 way from Nicks on Essex. This place is a 9.2. Beef was top notch. Online ordering was a breeze. It was ready when I arrived. Friendly staff. I’ll be back! ?
Tough to rate.Pizza is always a winner.Tried the buffalo sandwich..it was bit of a let down.Chicken was mushy.Of course we will return.Service is great .Prices are reasonable and the pizza is great
I have to say - this is one of the best spots in North Shore. Not only is the food amazing, but the prices are reasonable, and the employees always make sure to greet you with a smile. Most roast beef shops in this area tend to have a smug vibe - making the customer feel as though they’re doing you a favor by coming in. But at Nick’s (Essex street), I always feel welcome and respected. It’s also pretty cool that they don’t commit tax fraud like the other Nick’s.
I went there for the first time last night, 3/12/22,and got the chicken kabob salad, and a small steak and cheese Calzone. I will not be returning for business. Both meats were dry, over cooked. Cheese was on top of cazone not mixed into the sawdust meat. I just threw out 2/3 of it now that's not worth eating. Sad face.
I just left Nicks with 2 roast beef dinners. first time I couldn't finish. thank you!
Got a large calzone. OMG! So good. A large can easily feed 3-4 ppl.
Something has drastically changed. The super pleasant ladies that worked the counter are now gone. The LED menu board has not functioned in weeks and the quality of food has declined. My last 3 visits have been disappointing. Today was the last straw. I ordered 2 slices of pizza at noon and it was as tough as leather. I ate one slice and tossed the other. Very disappointing to see this business failing.
Ordered food online for my family and received an email confirmation. The food didn’t show up, so I called. I was told they had no record of my order and I would need to talk to the owner. After showing them proof of the order they still couldn’t help me. They charged me for the order and will not return any of my calls. They don’t even deserve the one star I had to give them to post this. What a horrible way to do business! I will never order from here again and would encourage others not to as well.
Buffalo fingers were thin and dry. Tasted old and almost no sauce. Very disappointing for a city like beverly. I won't order there anymore.
