Pretty atmosphere! Love the drinks. The menu was great!

We have stayed here several times. In May our family celebrated our daughters graduation from Wheaton College. We reserved several rooms and had a wonderful dinner Saturday night. The food was exceptional and the staff for the restaurant and Inn were the best. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful week end. 10 stars!!!

It’s a spectacular place to dine as well as stay a few days. The Inn is an old Colonial Home - rooms are on the upper floor - everything is appointed in a colonial theme and the rooms are unique. Staff is extremely friendly. The Inn is open for dinner usually 4-10 and brunch is on Sunday 11-4 and then dinner until 7. Music often accompanies dinner outside. Just be aware there is no elevator to get to the rooms on the second floor and that the house is over 125 years old - so stairs and hallways are narrow- and it’s charming to maneuver- Food is excellent- done with great care and the menu changes now and then.

Attended a beautiful wedding shower in the carriage house - great set-up, spaced tables, the waitstaff was personable and on top of things - food is delicious - buffet was scrumptious!! Beautiful historic surroundings - terrace is lovely. Only drawback I can think of is the very small parking lot.

This used to be a quaint little spot for a cozy winter meal or a summer dinner I n the patio but the inn is looks very tired and the menu has slid even further. The choices are completely generic and I really had trouble finding anything I wanted to order. Ritz crackers and cod? Really? Three kinds of chicken? Walnuts on my Salmon. Finally picked special fish which was halibut with berries which is not a very wise combination. Companion picked pork dish which was apparently deep fried to the point it could not be cut with a knife. Eggplant rollatini also overly fried and not a good choice. Cocktail list looked like fun but entrees not exciting or well prepared and on higher price point This was a charming place that now needs a capital infusion for the setting and a new menu to add any incentive for a return visit. Hope that ownership can find the incentive to restore this spot.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Colonel Blackinton Inn and had an amazing experience. Kim Canova, the owner, was so accommodating and amazing at decorating and bringing my decor inspiration to life! We had our ceremony indoors in the brick-paved sunroom in the Jenkins House (there is an option for an outdoor tent). We took our after ceremony pictures outdoors at the Inn which provided beautiful background scenery for photos. We were able to get exactly what we wanted in decor, delicious food, customized menus made by Blackinton, a Prosecco bar, chocolate covered strawberries, an open bar, and a private area of the Inn (with a bathroom) all to ourselves. Customer service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about Kim and her team. I highly recommend having your wedding here.

Great place to eat or for a function. They did a great job for my nieces sweet 16 birthday party. Food was excellent, hostess was great, and atmosphere was perfect.

Went here for Valentines Day and could not have been more impressed with the food and service. Our waitress Tara was amazing and made this night so special. Due to Covid my husband and I haven’t been out for sometime as he had cancer 2 years ago and he felt very compromised. Your spacious setting and attention to detail couldn’t have made him feel more comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful evening ?

We went to dinner for Valentine's day. Unfortunately the service was very slow. It took quite some time for us to even get drinks. I ordered a steak medium-well and it arrived quite over cooked. Burnt on the outside - very well done. The waitress offered to have another made but honestly I didn't want wait another 45 minutes for my dinner so we declined. I would have expected a manager to come by an apologize or ever an offer of a desser or coffer but none of this happened. The waitress never adressed it again - even as we were leaving. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. It has great potential but definitely many opportunities.

Enjoyed a fabulous brunch with four of my friends on Sunday. The food was excellent and we had a leftovers that we were happy to bring home. There was a live music that was lovely and was soft enough that it didn't interfere with conversation. The tables were well-spaced and the room was beautiful. We'll definitely return.
