It’s a Fun place to eat and drink
First let me start off by saying the drinks are on point. But the issue came on my birthday July 2 I had a party of eight people and we arrived at 7. First we were told we have 90mins to drink and eat. Then they split my party up l. Sitting me in the corner with 4 and the other 4 across the dining room. We were informed that they sell the tables for $500 for a booth $350 for a table top. This is more of a club and not a restaurant. So I tried to speak to the manager and he informed me that there was nothing he could do because he had already sold tables. So we left and went to MGM to enjoy my birthday. I will never go to shark bar again.
The food was pretty good. But the service is not good at all. NotMy type of environment. Upon entering the restaurant, there was no host available so the bartender angrily yells, “ HI! YALL NEED A MENU?” Or something dumb like that which seemed lower class behavior. The hostess walked up and asked what type of seat we’d like to sit and so on. We sat down and she said she’d get our waitress. We see a bunch of employees in different huddles talking, laughing and playing. And we also see another young lady pacing back and forth on a phone call. Eventually our waitress came. Everything I tried to order was out of stock, they were out of crab. So I ended up getting the calamari and half dozen raw oysters. I forgot to take a picture of my food. But it was good. While we were eating, the table washer guy comes by our table to say hello with his trash can and continues on to walk around. The restaurant is not packed he could have found several routes that were not near any customers but he seemed to feel the need to bring his trash near all current eating customers. My husband ordered a mixed fisherman’s platters. Although it was good, the hush puppies had A LOT of grease surrounding them. The whiting was good but it had bones in it. My brother ordered a fish sandwich and discovered his fish sandwich had several bones in it. The peel and eat shrimp are warm. No complaints on the taste just the delivery and service. The appearance of the restaurant was not what I expected. Why is it called shark anything? There’s not one shark in here. There’s 2 fish tanks but no shark. It should be called fish or seafood but no crab restaurant.
Liked this black owned establishment alot. It's all you need in one place for a good night out. Good food, Hookah & a band. The cooks aren't consistent, in one night I had 2 ordered of wings & the came out totally different. The strawberry long island was a very good drink. Lobster was delish! I appreciate the out door hookah lounge but the furniture needs to be replaced, the hookahs need to be cleaned thoroughly & a better quality of shesha would result in a better turn out!
Got here at the Bar and that was exactly what it was. They had no burgers Mac and cheese crac cakes. Had to wait over 30 minutes and the waitress only took part of our order she never took my husband's order walked away and waited another hour. I told my husband I wanted to leave . Waitress never brought back the drink menu and we were still waiting. I guess I should be lucky our water came as fast as it did. Waitresses seemed more interested in looking good then waiting on customers. Never go there again.
The food was great. The service was pretty awful though. I wouldn't hold that against the restaurant because of one staff member though.
The door charge was $25 per person, which i think is kinda high. The girl that was greeting at the front had a horrible attitude! Especially cause it was my first time coming. But after the fact the vibe of the place was great. Bomb music and good food and STRONG ?? DRINKS!! WILL COME BACK!!!! Hopefully when I do the hostess will be better.
I always have great time and enjoy the energy here. They are very welcoming place and food is great!
Me, my sister and nephew visited Shark Bar Saturday 03/19/22 for dinner. It was our first time. The staff was very pleasant our server Ms. Irene was awesome. They were very communicative about it being a party of 30 and the kitchen being behind. It took 45 mins for us to receive our food. I had the fried shrimp as a appetizer and for the entree I tried the stuff salmon with crab my sides were the spinach and mash potatoes. Everything was delicious my sister's dish (not pictured) was the Cajun shrimp pasta and my nephew had the one lobster with fries and corn on the cob. I will definitely come back I enjoyed the vibe although the wait was a bit extreme the customer service was excellent. I definitely will be back to enjoy some more food and the night atmosphere.
I like the establishment and the staff is so accommodating. My only gripe would be the prices don't match the location. $7.50 for domestic beer is a bit overboard. I went on a Saturday night for the first time and had a great time listening to an amazing band. $25 dollar cover was actually acceptable after listening to the band. The lemon pepper wings we had were delicious also.
