Customer service was nice enough. The food was hot and smelled delicious. But I could not differentiate between the crab balls and hush puppies. I'll assume the hush puppies stayed together better than the balls. Every time I picked one up - it crumbled right up. My son had the wings and fish lunch special. He didn't like what was fish. Won't go back for that price. I can do better at home with real crab and real fish.
I had a bad experience with this establishment. My crabs were mushy. The owner replaced them with live crabs. He didn’t want to cook them for fear of them being mushy. I will not return.
Update: I must say, customer service is much better. I couldn't stay away, love the croaker platter. Only place that i know that sells bone fish.Customer service hit or miss. Can be very rude at times.
I have been twice. I don’t know how they cook their crabs but they are not good. The customer service is good but the crabs need something. I’m from Baltimore more county (Cockeysville) sometimes I travel to Baltimore city to get crabs and the crab places in Cockeysville were good expensive but good too.The crabs from Captain Joes are not good. I got a dozen and could only eat 3.
Got crabs most of them were mushy, called the owner he was angry. Won't be going back. Also they were extremely light.
I have given this place numerous opportunities to get it right. But they have proven that they don't care. This place will never get another dollar from me. I do not recommend anyone to go here. The food was old and when I asked the guy behind the counter about it, he was very aggressive and rude. He got very defensive, which made me really feel like he knew he was wrong. I have vowed to never go back there and to tell anyone I know not to go there either.
Their steamed shrimp taste like sink water if that makes any sense. And they need to take crab legs off their menu they haven’t been in stock for years. But they’re cool if you want some quick seafood and hungry. You get what you pay for.

Today I got 2 dozen medium female crabs from them. I ended up throwing away about 6 that were water logged and just gross. Usually I get amazing crabs but not this time . I was so very disappointed.
The flavour and the quality of the food was great! The deep fried oysters are a little pricey. Almost $20 for 10 qty. Side order. I would have given them another star But the man who took our Order and money appear to not care whether we spent money there or not.
