Had a nice meal on a Sunday evening with my mom, my wife and my brother. Great crab soup and fried oysters and salads. We sat outside on a warming evening. I wanted to go back with family for mothers Day but they won’t take a reservation “because then the restaurant would fill up and they couldn’t take walk-ins”? REALLY hasn’t this worked well for restaurants for decades?
1st time and the food was amazing. Oysters are delicious. I had the lobster roll and my mom had a club that had a crab crake and shrimp in it. It was HUGE!!!
Impromptu dinner with good friends and we couldn't have picked a better location! Crab & Lobster dip, oysters and sushi for starters. Shrimp salad, crabcakes, scallops and shrimp & grits for dinner. Finished with apple pie a' la mode for dessert. Everything was wonderful. I should have taken photos before we dug in. You won't be disappointed ?
All around disappointing. All of our entrees came out cold. The fish was way over cooked. On a positive note, the server was great!
This is my first review of any restaurant online. The coastal blue crab soup motivated me to takea moment and post. Best I have ever ENJOYED! The house salad was fresh, bountiful with “chopped” tomato, onion, cucumber and celery. I opted for salmon with the salad. Yummy and again large portion.
Went to Kenilworth Gourmet on a snowy night. There was still a lot of people at the restaurant. That told us it would be worth the visit. We ordered cocktails before dinner and they were great. A martini, clean and crisp, and an old-fashioned perfectly balanced. We ordered oysters Rock for an appetizer and it was hot and full of spinach and flavor. Entrees selected were rockfish platter and halibut platter. Both were wonderful and done perfectly. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable. Other staff were equally attentive. This was a bad weather night but KG was able to give us a great dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a wonderful seafood dinner.
The Gourmet lives up to its name. We’ve ordered take out from here twice now and let me just say we’ll be back again and again. The sushi was a surprising hit, the crabcake sandwich was delightful on soft, airy focaccia. The short rib entree was worth every penny. 5 stars.

Went with family and the food was delicious and the service was wonderful! We had 2 dozen oysters on the 1/2 shell and they were very delicious!! We could have ordered 2 more dozen! I had the Spicy seafood gumbo soup that was very tasty, and I ordered the Baltimore crispy shrimp bites and they were awesome! I normally do not get fried foods, but I was in the mood for the shrimp and I was pleasantly surprised. They did not taste fried, if that makes sense. They were crispy, decent sized-shrimp, tasty, and if I remember correctly, they had a little kick to them. It was a large group of us so I do not remember what everyone else got, but I can say everyone left with happy taste buds and a happy belly!
