Had dinner here when it wasn’t too busy. The ambiance was so calming with classical music playing the background. The staff were professional and polite. Our food arrived quickly and looked (and tasted) deliciously spicy, bathed in red sauces and garnished with ground dried peppers. I haven’t had mapo tofu in a long time and I’m happy to say that this exceeded my expectations.

Upon reading all the positive reviews, I was really excited to try some authentic Szechuan food here during my travels but my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The fish filet was tasty but my inattentive server was missing in action after he served my food. There was no follow-up or whatsoever. I had to approach the cashier to request my check. The issue that resulted in the 2-star rating was two of the employees were having a private conversation and using profanity throughout my entire dining experience and it loud enough for me to hear. The restaurant was not even busy; I was the only guest there at approximately 4 pm. How professional!

Excellent service. Authentic Sichuan food which was delicious. The textures, flavors, and spices were all perfect. The Dan Dan noodles were great. The string beans were crispy and had great crunch. The Fuqi Feipian had very flavorful spice. The Jing Jiang Rousi were tender. The Lazi Ji was crunchy, tender, and aromatic. The pork hunduns were delicate (I normally don’t eat pork but for this, I make an exception.) The sweet and sour fish slices were very crunchy. The coating and breading was amazing. Servers were very friendly. They added 3 extra things of free white rice to our to-go bags (also free). Arrive before 7pm on a weekend as tables fill-up fast.

When you go to a Chinese restaurant, the most important thing is the quality and taste of the food. Red pepper definitely did not disappoint. We got the chicken with sichuan pepper, and the eggplant in garlic sauce. Both dishes were extremely flavorful. Service wasn't the best, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it.

First time and definitely won't be the last. Food was really good. we had the sesame cold noodle, fried crispy pork with scallions, smoked tea duck, and lamb with scallions.

Food is delicious and it was prepared and out at our table very quickly. Very fresh ingredients and great flavor! They also have American Chinese dishes here. I would skip the spring rolls but everything else was amazing. Love the hot flower tea.

Oh my god! If you love authentic Chinese food. The kind you get in San Francisco at places where there is no English menu, the kind that makes you sweat and love every single minute of it, the kind that makes your eyes close it’s so good then this is your place. I can’t believe we lived here for three years before we found this place. We had the spicy dumplings which I think might have been my favorite, Mopo tofu, crispy rice shrimp, green beans, red bean pork and orange chicken for the kids. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like, and I’m so excited to come back and try more food.

Very impressed with this restaurant, will definitely be back. Got the dried beef with peppers, was amazingly good. Also very spicy, but not terribly so. Highly recommend

We were in the mood for Chinese food when we went to Red Pepper. This restaurant is spacious and we had excellent service. It has a very large menu. While they use good ingredients, we were disappointed with the seasoning and sauces. We specifically asked if our dish with shrimp, vegetables and rice cakes could be made spicy, but it came out bland. We think that the cooks try to please the American taste, and that’s unfortunate.

We loved food and service was amazing
