The one drink I had was a strawberry milk tea was delicious. A balanced cold drink to hydrated my throat not to sweet which enhances the flavor.
We had been wanting Chinese food and decided to pop into Towson Best for an early dinner. We were warmly greeted by Danny. The restaurant is bright and cheerful. Danny immediately asked if we would like hot tea, and we sure did want something hot to drink as it was a cold rainy evening. He brought our tea along with crispy wonton strips accompanied by sweet and sour and hot mustard sauces. We were off to a great start. We really like their shrimp egg rolls, so we got them. They were hot, crisp and delicious. My shrimp tempura dinner came with Miso soup, but I asked could I get wonton instead, and they cheerfully made the switch. The wonton soup was loaded with flavor with plump wontons. My shrimp tempura dinner had 6 shrimp, 2 green peppers, 2 eggplants, 2 sweet potatoes and 2 broccoli florets. The tempura batter was light & delicate, but very crispy. My husband ordered the Crispy Sesame Chicken which he was not in love with. He has had better at Towson Best. He was hungry, so he ate it. And, the fried rice that came with it was just okay.

Ordered on-line, which was pretty easy, and allows you to pay at pick-up without a credit card to hold the order. Our order was Calamari, Kung Pao Tofu (requested extra, extra spicy), lemon chicken, and a Sunny Roll. Total bill was $44.52. Polite staff greeted us as we entered to pick up food, but it was not ready so we waited a bit. Table service was busy; limited staff worked efficiently to seat, serve, and clear tables. Calamari was large and well cooked, but the dipping sauce oddly tasted of tomato soup. Kung Pao tofu was well cooked, but the sauce was wanting and not remotely spicy, despite request (and as indicated on the receipt). If my review would have been based on the Kung Pao tofu dish alone, the score would have been one star. Lemon chicken was ok, but the dipping sauce was gloppy. Sunny Roll was fine, but the spicy mayo sauce I ordered was not worth the extra dollar. Overall, this was a very average meal. Probably will be a while before I return. Not sure I would order on-line again since our request for extra spicy was not honored.

We could not wait to go to Towson Best to see how they remodeled the restaurant. It was closed for about a month. We went early, so we were able to get a parking spot in the rear. The first thing we noticed was the bright new paint in the hallway. When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a light and airy dining room. It is still divided in two with new tables on both sides. The big difference is the banquette along the wall. They have removed all the booths. They have new tables and chairs, new floor, and new lighting. They still have one TV. The sushi counter is still there along with a tea etc. counter. It was all so inviting. In addition to the remodeling, they now have expanded their menu to include Ramen, Bun and a variety of Bubble and fruit teas plus more.. We decided on the lunch special, which included a spring roll and your choice of white or fried rice. Mona, our server, was very attentive and welcoming. The owner remembered us and came over to say hello – very thoughtful. My husband ordered the Shrimp with Cashews. However, when it came, it had green and red peppers in it, which he cannot eat. Mona very quickly took it back, and they gave him a new order. I had the Shrimp Chow Fun which is wide Chinese noodles in a delicate sauce with nice size shrimp. We both really like the ambience of the new restaurant and our lunches.

We have been riding by this restaurant for years and for whatever reason we never went in. That was a mistake! Our neighbor told us that they had the best and freshest Chinese, Japanese, Sushi, and seafood in Towson. That was a great recommendation for us. So, today we went for lunch. There is a very small parking lot in the rear for 3 cars, which we were happy to see they had an open spot for us. We were warmly greeted by Chow when we came in and seated. The restaurant has a pleasant décor and was very clean. There were tables, booths and Sushi counter seating.. . We were especially pleased to see that they had lunch specials even on Sunday. Chow immediately brought us a dish of crispy wontons with hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce (Duck sauce) for dipping and a pot of hot tea. Yummy start! We both decided on the lunch special that came with soup, fried rice and a spring roll. I always judge a Chinese restaurant on the taste of their wonton soup, and this one passed with high marks. The broth was rich in taste and the wontons were huge. . . My husband had the egg drop soup, again rich in flavor. For my entrée, I chose the Shrimp Pad Thai. It was a little too spicy for me. (My mistake, I forgot to say “not spicy.”) Actually, I was quite full from the soup, spring roll and crispy wontons; I ate some of the Pad Thai and decided to take the rest to my daughter. Danny, another server, was very friendly and made sure that our water glasses were full and that finished plates were cleared. My husband ordered his favorite – Sesame Chicken and declared it to be a winner. The portions are very generous. He even has some left over for dinner. They obviously do a booming take-out business. Our total bill for this delicious and filling lunch was $14.80. We were so pleased that we came in today and most certainly highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back soon!

My family ordered takeout during the holiday season. I was visiting so this was my first chance to try Towson Best. It was very good. I had ordered a seafood dish which was good but I got to have some orange chicken also. The Orange Chicken was wonderful. I know where to order from when I am in Towson. . . Everyone was happy with the choices.
