Me and my lady went to this restaurant after Sunday church. The restaurant has some back home vibe, the food was amazing! It’s probable the best Ethiopian restaurant in the United States “personal opinion”.It’s little far from Alexandria but worth driving. Oh by the way we had Tibs and chechebsa.

I brought my friends to eat the so called "Banatu" on Monday, but I was very disappointed and ashamed by what they did!"Banatu" is supposed to be an equal portion combo of "tibs","tibs firfir" and "Kitfo", but what we ate, 95% of it was tibs firfir; they were trying to play smart and covered the tibs firfir with an extremely low amount of kitfo & tibs and ayib: just so we see them.People do good while they build their reputation, but after, they try to play smart on their customers, which is very disappointing!!I will never come to this place again and never recommend anyone!I hope this would be a lesson to Zeni!I RECOMMEND PEOPLE GO TO " ENEBLA MARKET AND CARRYO, 7849 Eastern Ave NW, Silver Spring, MD 20910" WHICH IS NEXT TO TERAMISU SHE SERVES AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS FOOD! YOU WILL BE SURPRISED!!GO THERE AND SEE PERFECTION!

The food is great and I like how the owners interact with customers but the waiters are disrespectful.

I ordered on Uber eat 4 meals items and I get delivery of only two , already they charged me for 4 meals.

Very delicious food. So affordable, everyone was so kind and the hospitality was off the roof. Definitely recommend this place for first time Ingera eaters !!?

I haven’t enjoyed Ethiopian food in a long time like I did with Zene’s in the DMV area.

Yesterday night I was using service in this place. Zeni, the owner is welcoming. But first the waiter did not bring fully what we order and second when the bill came I left blank space for the tip place. But she asked me to write 20 percent of the service for the tip. When I asked her ,is it mandatory to write 20percent for tip? She replied yes it is. I did not argue with her since I did not want making our environment not happy for my group . We were coming to entertained too just not only for eating. so so disappointed . Still if the restaurant charged me in my credit card for the tip I will deny.

I cook Ethiopian at home but when it comes to the goden ribs it is very good

Love the kitfo, zilzil tibs and goden tibs. Zene is very friendly and nice and so are the staff.
