This is probably the second diner outside of New York that I can eat at in the DC area I'm a new transplant. The prices are slightly high. And the portions are slightly small for certain things like grits, The omlettes are kind of small. And the menus a little bit limited but the food is respectable. The servers are very sweet but they do mess up your order often but there's very sweet about it.
The staff was really friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was very good! Our wait (for food) wasn't very long. Our boys enjoyed their waffles and pancakes. It was so sweet, our waiter did his very best to accommodate our 8 year olds request on how he likes his waffles. Would eat here again!
They charged extra for Pick-Up Orders. I only ordered 3 pancakes, patties, eggs, and this beyond small cup of grits. They always switch the size of the cup and can you believe this little cup is $3.29. Website states $2.99, up charge with no notice. Save your money and go to IHOP. Taxing for this little bit of breakfast. We go all the time and we pay $30 for two. This is ONE MEAL. Ridiculous.
Clean, friendly, long time community fixture. We always do date night there.
Took my youngest daughter and my mother here (1st time) the service was polite & professional, the food was fast & good. It wasn't that busy on a Monday so we was able to spend some time talking without feeling rush to give up our table.I could tell they have some regulars that seem to take most of there meals here by there interactions.
My co-worker specifically said this place is your best bang for your buck lol! Nothing exotic but not bad for under 10 bucks. As opposed to a hit or a miss from Panera and tiny portions. I added my own salsa on the side. Real cool staff
I've been a patron of this historic Diner for over 10 years. What I love most is the friendly atmosphere and the go-to quick meals! Zee-Zee is the #1 server, always smiling and doesn't miss a beat! Management is cool, and everyone is friendly and kind. The cultural demographics are mixed, making this a fully inclusive venue for all people! If you are ever in Montgomery County and need to feel like you are eating in a place like "Cheers," then Tastee Diner is the place where everybody will know your name!
I ordered a veggie omelet Which was dry no taste. As I sat parked on the road in my salt truck ready to eat. I was not given any utensils for the carry out order. When I called it was indicated they assumed I was taking it home to eat so they didn't give any utensils. I was told I should have asked if I needed. Wow! I Will never return.
Like a second home! 24/7 diner food since 1946. The real deal.
I stopped in for a quick bite while my kid was at a show at the Filmore. I got a T-bone and two side. Have to admit I wasn’t expecting what I got. The staff was awesome. They were all really nice and worked well as a team. My steak was perfect and seasoned really well. I wish I had taken photos but once I tasted my meal, I truly forgot to take them. Wish I could give a ten!!!
