The bartender was very friendly. The cook did a spectacular job. I loved the homemade aioli that went great with the burger and fries. The chocolate mousse cake was rich and yummy. I came on July 31st. I’m definitely coming here very soon. My favorite burger so far btw….that’s coming from a former Five Guys employee. I had an amazing night! Thank you so much Silver Strings!
Food was absolutely incredible! We had the broccoli & cheese balls, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and Mac & cheese. The sandwich was massive, very crispy and had wonderful flavor!
Staples found in our food. Then was blamed that we put them there after confronting the owner?! We were being polite and calm about it but said we can't eat that. He got incredibly defensive threatened to call the police on us if we didn't pay.We were astounded. When my buddy showed it to him, the owner picked it up out of his plate and tried to dispose of it nonchalantly like he was hiding it.Never seen anything like it.Please someone tell Gordon to come tell this clown to step his game up or shut down! He's obviously in the business for the money not the food.Everything was obviously pre frozen and tasted pretty awful and soggy, not to mention it was wayyyy over priced.Looked like a classic place you might see on the TV show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey where they show the worst restaurants! Was completely empty in there and now I know why! He tries to make it look upscale when they're doing everything as cheap as possible.I'll always remember this as the worst restaurant in to metro area by a LONG SHOT.DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!! OR RISK STAPLES IN YOUR MEAL!!!!!
The ambiance of this spot is all that it’s cracked up to be - relaxed sophisticated and inclusive. Options for bar, table or stuffed arm chair seating. Live music. Hard wood and stained glass Tiffany-esque lighting. But the cocktails and food are lacking….got the bees knees cocktail and the New York ensemble. Cocktail tasted like unsweetened lemon water. Steak was both under and over cooked somehow and definitely under seasoned. Mac was under seasoned and over cooked. Veggies were clearly frozen beforehand. I was originally served my entree noticed it didn’t have the crostini, mentioned it and then was told “me and the cook didn’t even know that was included!” Not a good look. Wish I could have stayed to see the show tho. It’s a dinner and a show spot. Go for the show, skip dinner.
Where to start… mhm I guess it being the first restaurant ever to have nobody in it, says they can accommodate a party of 15 and messes up half of the people’s food while also making us wait over a hour and a half (not exaggerating)… then proceeds to get upset because the customers were unhappy about the food and left hungry. I’m surprise they call themselves an establishment. Terrible food and “management”; great waiter named Frances though. Could go into detail, but I’ll digress.
We thought we lucked out when we needed a backup restaurant for our friends birthday dinner and found this place empty and waiting for us around the corner, boy were we wrong. This place was a ghost town on a Saturday night for a reason! The menu isn't particularly large or varied but it still took over an hour to get our food and then when it arrived, some items were inaccurate to what the description said. Taste wise the food was very basic and over priced, I think we would have been better off at Dave and Busters. The chef in particular was rude when we tried to send items back. Ended up leaving hungry. The place had an old school American charm decor wise and the waiter, Francis is a nice guy so I give 2 stars instead of one. Definitely won't be coming back though.
Perfectly cooked NY Strip. Service pleasant and not over-bearing. Live music on Saturday nights! Relaxing after a long week.
One hell of a one man show, service was great and i havent even got the food yet
Great place for a beer while you're walking around Silver Spring. Friendly bartender and a good looking menu.
Warm wooden and welcoming lounge perfect for some afternoon beers!
