This location sucks. Today, there was one person taking orders and one person making everything which makes for a very long wait. I ordered two icees (fine) and a small custard with Reese’s. When I saw the measly topping amount, I asked for more and she immediately said that’s going to be extra. I informed her I just wanted the amount I paid for. Mind you, we go to Rita’s all the time and have gotten this same order. I’ve never received so little topping….ever. She continued to tell me I would have to pay for more, which naturally wasn’t going to happen.If you can, go to another location. You’re not missing anything with this one.
R U D E cashier. I go to this location several times a week one afternoon I asked if I could have a certain flavor and she said we don’t have any but it was up on the board I didn’t say anything and I chose another flavor the next day I asked if they had a certain flavor and she said if “it’s up there we have” it with a nasty attitude and I asked her OK can I have that one please and they were out of it LOL. Boy did she feel dumb. It convinced me enough to not come back to this location.
It's so funny that I see other reviews complaining about the same cashier I asked the cashier if they had cherry today and she said with an attitude if it's up there we have it I asked her and they were out of it and another day I asked if I can have mango and she said with an attitude we don't have that today but it was up on the board. I love this location when that certain cashier is not working there she really ruins the whole fun of getting Rita's
Past experience at this location was amazing but this time it was not the best cashier was rude and walked away while I was ordering only because I asked if a flavor was available she "if it's up there we have it" in a rude way and she proceeded to walk away when I apologized for asking the flavor my daughter wanted was scratched so I feel the need to ask , we got our treats and I said thank you she did not respond didn't make eye contact, it shocking that it was an older lady and not a younger person personally I don't know if we will come again if she's still there. I don't really write bad reviews but it's honestly disappointing to behave that way especially around kids.
Very stingy "large" vanilla custard quantity. I asked about the quantity and told the older lady giving me my order, that their college park location had given more than they were giving. She proceeded to tell me in a rude way that the college park location got it wrong.I don't think I'll be returning.
This is my first experience going! It was a fun atmosphere getting the desserts outside and enjoying them on the bench. I noticed it is a popular hangout for kids but adults can enjoy just as well. I got the chocolate + vanilla swirl on a waffle cone. It took me back to childhood and my family had a milkshake and mango gelato. All pleasing for a hot spring day. The customer service was nice. A pleasant elderly lady and her grand children serving. Planning on making it a after pool spot. Somewhere we can cool off as a family. Sign up with email and receive coupons to print for future purchases. I believe they are not open all year round, just seasonally (spring, summer, early fall) and close for winter.
I received a response from the owner a short time ago. What she basically said was the product is new and the newer stores carry it (Hand-scooped custard). She said also that they have been there for a while. I know this. But is that any reason not to up your game? Seems offering a new product to your customers would be a positive move. Have you ever thought that it just might increase your revenue? Please think outside the box. Thinking that "This is the way we've always done it" gets plenty of businesses left behind. It is simply outdated. I felt that I needed to remove 1 star because of the owner's comment and seemingly unwillingness to be open to change.I was unable to see how to comment directly to the owner's response. So I've chosen to amend my original comment. Thanks!This was my very first visit to a Rita's. It was different but a very delicious treat! I only wish this location carried the hand scooped variety.. Can't wait to try that type.. But I'll likely come again!
Great spot for a cold treat on a hot day. Masks are required to step up and order.
She refused to give me spoons. Terrible location I do not ever recommend it
Eh, this is definitely not one of the better locations. They don’t allow you to sample and they gave me a gelati with MAYBE one teaspoon of custard on the bottom( didn’t even cover the bottom of the cup). This location is 15 minutes away from my home but I’d rather drive 35 minutes to a Virgina location. I wouldn’t recommend this location.
