The food quality is satisfactory, the burgers are perfectly made. I agree with the other reviews that the bloomies are a rip-off, skip that. Basically just chopped onions that dont hold their breading well, so you get kind of an oily mess. The fries though are better than average, they use a special cut for the potatoes that honestly makes a lot of sense.The four stars is for the price. Its ridiculously expensive. One small burger will run you ten bucks. For not having a storefront, seating area, or much of the overhead that comes with your average burger joint, I feel a little ripped off every time. Cut the price in half and I'd be in there four times a week.
I've been following PLNT Burger for a while, but unfortunately live over 2 hours from my closest location. Finally got to try it while in DC, and it was everything I hoped and more. Staff was very friendly and helpful with figuring out the first time discount. They took me seriously when I mentioned a severe food allergy and made sure I was safe. Food was amazing. Not just one of the best plant based burgers I've ever had, but one of the best burgers I've had period. Very impressed and will definitely return whenever possible as well as hope for a closer location.
So I'm not a vegan nor am I a vegetarian; I am a very proud omnivore. HOWEVER!! I do very much enjoy vegan/vegetarian options and always eating a salad...can get boring as well as predictable. I found PLNT Burger and had been wanting to try it, as I've had bad experiences in the past with plant based foods. For someone who highly enjoys a steak and the occasional chicken sandwich, I found that the BBQ mushroom burger I ordered, possibly the best burger I've ever graced my taste buds with.OMH (Oh My Hecate)!! Was this the best burger experience. I had a craving for a burger and PLNT delivered in the best way possible. The mushrooms were so tender and grilled to perfection; I loved that I could still taste the earthiness of the delicate fungus~. The fries were seasoned just right; they weren't salty at all and though I did order through door dash, they remained crispy. As did the onion petals. But the shake! I love shakes I really do, unfortunately I can't digest dairy like I wish I could. I'm a...sloot for oat milk, I'd drink it right out of the carton sometimes. So smooth and not too rich. Again, it was perfect. I highly suggest that even if you aren't a vegan/vegetarian you should indulge in PLNT Burger especially if you're having a burger craving but don't want to deal with the stomach ache that is too follow. Trust me, you won't regret it.
I ordered the spicy ch’ckn sandwich and the sweet potato crinkle fries and it was so good!!!!! This is one of my favorite vegan spots in Silver Spring. I like their garden herb and spicy aioli sauces too. The gentleman behind the counter saw me walking to the counter and immediately greeted me and even guessed my name hahaha very friendly staff and tasty food!
I’m not vegan nor in any particular diet but I am lactose intolerance and have diary sensitivities. With that being said, the milkshakes are immaculate and made with oat milk!! They are so delicious and easy on my tummy. Don’t get me started on those fries! Crispy, hot, and tasty! I have a new favorite spot.
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the new Patty Melt and the Bay Fillet. The sweet heat sauce went nicely with my fries and the Patty Melt. Their Cardamom drink was also quite delicious and refreshing.
The new patty melt is delicious. The burger is fantastic with the perfect amount of cheese, pickles and onions…,.fabulous. The sweet potato fries with bloodies sauce are always spot on. I love everything on the PLNT Burger.
Great Food! My children and I always enjoy everything we order. When I want my son to chill on the dairy, I get him a grilled cheese from PLNT and he LOVES it!Update: My oldest (18yo) tried my chili cheese fries, grilled cheese and oat shake and immediately put in his own order and ran out and picked it up. He loved it! (He’s usually NOT interested in anything plant based!)
PLNT has the best burgers!!!!! Even my fiancé who is a meat lover LOVES these burgers. If you are new to being vegan, or just want a good intro to vegan food, THIS is where you wanna go! If you are already into your vegan/vegetarian journey, and you want to try an AMAZING burger and other yummy vegan options, you HAVE to try PLNT!!! Also, the customer service is top notch. Just trust me, and try it! You won’t be disappointed!
For all my plant based eaters…get the fast food experience completely vegan at PLNT Burger!! It’s so yummy and environmentally conscious.
