My family and I were visiting DC from Florida and decided to ride the metro to Silver Spring to try Mi Rancho. The food was delicious and the service great. I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. Well worth the trip.

We had a wonderful experience a few nights ago at Mi Rancho in Silver Spring. We were a party of 35 celebrating the graduation of our twin girls. The food was spectacular, we had appetizers & then fajitas of all kinds. We had pitchers of delicious margaritas & a few people ordered some other items on the menu, and it was all handled so well by our fabulous waitress, Rosanna. She was superb! Mi Ranco let us bring a large sheet cake, refrigerated it, and when it was time for cake, Rosanna handled cutting up & serving the cake! It was a great evening of delicious food and drink, wonderful service, and lots of laughter. Thank you, Mi Rancho!!

So this was a mixed bag for me. My favorite places to explore and rate are Mexican restaurants. First, the positive: they nailed it 100% on service. 100%. Beautifully dressed, very friendly greeter immediately took us to our outdoor table of choice. Second, my key for a good Mexican restaurant... Warm chips, salsa and water hit the table in under 30 seconds. The salsa is good, but very middle of the road. Probably best for mixed guests. A little sauza and pepper fixed that. Margaritas as watery. Not heavy on alcohol, not too sweet, not memorable. Good. But not a go-to. After one, my wife who loves margaritas, switched to a white wine.As for meals. Again a mixed bag. My wife ordered steak fajitas. I ordered a grilled chicken Santa Fe burrito. Her steak came out sizzling and was fantastic. Great flavor! And I.. got the wrong meal... Didn't realize until I dug into it. Instead I got the shredded chicken enchiladas. Which is probably what I should have ordered. They are are awesome. Best part is that they flame grill the entire entree at the end, including the rice. So the cheese and rice have a great crisp to them. I noted the error and they replaced this with my grilled chicken burrito. Eh, not great. I am 90% sure the ground chicken was store bought pre cooked chicken (I know, I've had it many times) just warmed up. It definitely was the exact same length and dimensions of store bought chicken. It was very wet and no grilled flavor or bark. Also, my wife's side of beans were definitely not of Mexican taste, I feel like I've had canned ones just like this before. So, staff is amazing, the house margaritas are fine but not a go-to, salsa is the same, and some of the food is REALLY GOOD, but it seems that it really depends on what you get. Steak and shredded chicken were a win.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Montgomery county! Amazing food, fast service and a great atmosphere!

Great food but the service could be better!

Hidden gem and sports bar style Tex-Mex restaurant in the silver spring near Cameron Street public parking. One of the best Fajita place in the area. Surprisingly good grilled flounder, w. an extra jalapeño on the side(tender and young, not as spicy). We really enjoyed the Saturday lunch.

I get so frustrated with my wife because she only wants to eat Mexican food and I get so tired of eating the same stuff every time we go out. When I came upon this place I was starving and broken. We're in Silver spring for a concert and spent the entire hour ride bickering about where to eat. I lost the battle as usual. Then I got there and tried the chips and salsa. The flavor was amazing and I told the waitress(who provided exceptional service by the way) how much I enjoyed it when she told me about and brought me their spicy one. Amazing. Packs a ton of flavor. We got the fajita feast for two and I'm fairly certain with every bite I was expressing my astonishment at how good and flavorful the steak was. If my wife is intending on making me eat at a Mexican resturant every time for the rest of my life I would like for it to be this one. Homemade Tortillas, excellent flavor and quality I will most definitely be back. I got lucky and snuck in before the dinner rush, I was one of 2 or 3 tables when I came in and was worried that that in itself was not a good sing, but I walked out of a packed resturant.

Mi Rancho is a great spot in Silver Spring to visit if you are looking for a frozen margarita to cool down on the hot summer days, or a spicy enchilada and tortilla soup during the winter. Staff is excellent, with managers and even the owner regularly interacting with the customers. Overall, one of the best spots in Silver Spring.

I love coming to Mi Rancho. The owners make you feel so welcomed. The servers are great and so is the food and drinks. I love their raspberry margarita, my favorite. Love it here. Definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I spotted this place while looking for apartments in silver spring. The food smelled great from the outside and is what piqued our interests. To the good stuff....Drinks--bomb! Bloody Mary was the right amount of spicy .Food - incredibly good. And most of all, customer service was steller!
