As we leave Silver Spring, Locavino will forever hold a special place in our heart. Locavino quickly became by far our favorite place to grab a drink and food after work. The Very Gouda burger is INCREDIBLE and one of my favorite burgers in DC. The Fig Balsamic flatbread was also one of our favorite entrees, in addition to the amazing selection of local wines and beer. Can not recommend this place enough; we also hosted our engagement celebration here and they were incredibly accommodating and everyone absolutely loved the food and drinks. Will always miss this place and hope everyone else continues to enjoy it.
Firstly the vibe in here is really nice, it does feel like a winery tasting room. There is a large selection of wines and the employees are very helpful. The food for me fell a little flat, it was delicious but not as much as I was expecting. I would definitely come here again. The Gouda burger was really delicious. The cheese board and the Cajun pasta were a big underwhelming.
Don't sleep on this downtown Silver Spring gem. Incredible wine shop, great food, easy going atmosphere. Come to relax with a book or catch up with a friend. Honestly can't go wrong with brunch, lunch, or dinner!....the tomato soup and grilled cheese ?

I was recently here with a work colleague for lunch. They offer many choices! We chose the falafel tacos and jerk chicken wrap, both with field greens as our side. I highly recommend both and will be back again for lunch!
Who knew such a small place had a huge punch?! What a wonderful experience I had for my 45th birthday. I selected Locavino because it was the closest winery to the escape room we attended. The reviews I read spoke highly of this establishment so I decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did! It was 10 of us and no reservation was needed! We got there and was immediately seated. Once we realized this wasn’t a “server come to your table” restaurant, lol - we immediately went up to order our food and wine. Both the food and wine was absolutely delicious! ?We all ordered a variety of things from the steak and cheese on bruschetta, jerkalya, chicken Alfredo, the burgers and surprisingly, shrimp pizza. Oh my, oh my - EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!!! And the wine we all chose to drink was very tasty. I wish I could remember the name but we all got a bottle to go! I highly recommend you try this spot, trust me…you won’t be disappointed! I will be back to visit soon. Thanks Locavino for making my 45th birthday one to remember! ?

The foods offered can support the taste of the wines but it is not the main focus and certainly not worth coming for on its own. The service was helpful and friendly. However, it was not busy when I was there. Conveniently located in the heart of Silver Spring. It is unfortunate this place closes at 9:00PM. This could be a good place to finish a fun evening.
I had a great lunch here with a colleague, and would definitely visit again. I got the penne pesto (without chicken + added portobello) which was excellent! I also got one of their side salads (they have many options) and a side of eggplant fries. To drink, I chose a glass of Sauvignon blanc that was light and bright, and the perfect addition to my meal. I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and everything still tasted great. The pricing was also really affordable for the size and quality.I also want to give a shout-out to Max, who was running the register as well as serving and bussing all the tables. He was very friendly and helpful, helping me chose a vegetarian option for my pasta and later, bringing us to go boxes. He was really great and made the experience even better.
