Friendly staff and great food. The Ethiopian coffee was excellent. I didn't take a picture of the coffee service but it's definitely a must have. The coffee arrives in an attractive pot with two cups and burning incense. The effect is visual as well as olfactory. The waitress poured what seemed to be a lot of sugar in the cup prior to pouring in the coffee but it was perfect. The coffee was strong but very flavorful. Whatever is done to roast the beans and prep the coffee resulted in me pouring multiple cups!
food, atmosphere, music.waitress.
The food tasted really really good. I went to this restaurant when I visited DC a few months back. The disappointment I keep getting from other places made me appreciate the authentic Ethiopian cuisine taste I got from this restaurant. Highly recommended!
Food and service are just ok. Every time I eat here, something gets messed up with the order.
I am disgusted with these people! They really packaged and sent me beef that was hard as rock, cold, and had clearly been sitting out for HOURS. NEVER AGAIN
They sent us raw beef (Gored Gored) through Ubereats today. We cooked it, didn’t feel comfortable, threw it out. DO NOT EAT HERE!!Ate here in the past. Food was ok. Food and service now horrible!
The food was delicious, Service was excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because as a former waitress I feel like the waitresses are suffocating with the uniform they are wearing. I’m not entirely sure what’s behind the story of the Emirates airline uniform it’s an Ethiopian restaurant it has nothing to do with Dubai. I would understand if it was something traditional. It looks very uncomfortable. Waitresses should feel comfortable the job is hard as is. I maybe wrong, but if you feel the same please gives this review a thumbs up. Overall everything was nice. The live music is a vibe!
The customer service is impeccable. Food is Ethiopian as it gets.
Well it depends, the food is good but not spicy as they mention it to be. The place and the ambience is really nice.
Great experience. I loved the way they served the beef tibs. They were served on a small fancy stove to keep it warm throughout the dinner.Spacious enough for a big party or just for a duo. Family friendly. You can choose to sit outside if you prefer.Parking could be hard to find on the Georgia Ave. Ride-share or use public transport if you can.
