Worse service worse food. Cashier was rude and had no manners. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this place and spend your money
Rude service every time. I've tried to give them a chance on 3 separate occassions. I thought maybe the cashier guy was having a bad day. Nope... He confirmed during my last trip that people who look like me or maybe just non muslims dont deserve respect or good service. He ignores me when I come to pick up my order and is very pleasant to the person he decides to serve before me. I wait patiently for my turn and his attitude changes back to his normal rude to black people fa

Kabob and Karahi has an unassuming store front in a strip mall in Cloverly. The food has never disappointed! I highly recommend the Saturday special Haleem. The kabobs are perfectly grilled and the Chana is worth the visit alone. Dining in is the better option, but have never been unsatisfied with the take out.
I am traveling for work in the area, and definitely want food that I cannot get in central Kentucky. This fit the bill for sure. This is a place where you order and then carry your meal to the table on a tray. Much of their seating is closed off, but we were able to sit down. I tried the goat curry as it was something I had not had before. It was a bit greasy for me, but that is just the nature of the meat, I think. It had a wonderful flavor. I loved my chickpeas & rice and the bread was to die for! Step out of your comfort zone and try something new, I had a good experience!
We were in the area so decided to stop here and try the restaurant. Overall the food was good but the service was somewhat poor; one associate was fine while another was downright rude! We ordered dal gosht and samosa chaat. we wanted the chaat without yogurt but was told “that couldn’t happen” but when they made it we saw the yogurt was added later so it could be made; only after we spoke up did we get the correct order. the flavor of the dal gosht was good and the samosa chaat was good but definitely needed more flavor (it was a little bland — both the chickpeas and the samosa were nice but needed some flavor)
On December 23, 2020, my husband and I decided to drive up around 9:35pm after seeing on Google they close at 11pm (take out). Placed an order for one person over the phone. On our way there, we get a call 9:50pm to advise us they are closing at 10pm, we said we’ll be there in 10 mins. Then we were asked if we wanted chicken boti kabob, my husband put them on hold and asked me. I said I’m not sure why they are asking but either it’s a sample or an extra order they don’t want
Address is Silver Spring, but in Cloverly. Got the one of the daily specials--chicken biryani-- and Chicken Karahi for 2. Medium spice was actually hot--a lot of places it's too tame--perfect. Flavors were amazing, but Karahi had bone in chicken, and some of the bones were small or shard-like. Made eating a challenge (paper plate/plastic utensil kind of place). Nice they use paper (vs plastic) clamshell containers. Daily specials are ready to be dished out (so, quick). Other dishes are prepared to order. Will definitely go back.
