Food is great but, costumer service bad and food preparation wait time is long. I understand it's a Caribbean restaurant but you are operating in a place where people need their food order to be fast paced. I have ordered 1hr ahead of time only to get there and wait another 30 mins for my food be ready. If it's policy not to get the food ready until payment I understand, but don't take orders only for someone getting there and the food is not ready. Every time I have been inside the Silver Spring location, they take forever to even take orders. Like seriously you need at least 10-mins with a costumers just for ordering ?. There got to be a better way to be more efficient withpeople time. If I had an hour for lunch I will never go there!! Lastly, I ordered today.. sent my Neice to pick up the the food only to realized half the order was missing even after repeating my order twice before having up. She had to wait another 30mins to make the other half. Meanwhile I had hungry guests waiting, this was after waiting 45 minutes before going to pick phone order. before caSmh got to get better we in society where costumer like fast paced. Most of the time most of us don't really have the time to wait around for food, that's why we order out sometime instead of cooking.
I ordered the escoviche fish, and the presentation was good. However, the fish was much too spicy. The seasoning was also off. Using a lot of hot pepper does not compensate for seasoning. Also, the person who handles the money should not handle the food.
We have ordered from Island Quizine at least 30 times in the past 6 months and it started off bad, got a lot better (thanks to Dianca) and then recently got terrible again. We usually order through Uber Eats and call ahead to see what is available before placing an order. They are almost ALWAYS out of patties and coco bread by the time 5pm comes around. They are constantly messing up our order with regards to food substitutions due to a gluten intolerance. But, as we are usually placing the order the Uber Eats, nothing is really being remedied. Dianca offered to have our order fixed a few times when we would place our next order, but recently Nicole has been helping over the phone and has not been nearly as kind and is always rushing me off the phone (stating that he has received the order and understands it, but then sends us the incorrect food). The whole is fresh, the oxtail is good. The curry goat is quite tough, and the rice and peas are good. The jerk chicken sandwich is dry and quite bland. We have also gone in person and the establishment is nice inside.
My daughter ordered a beef patty and we were excited given our experience with the food at a recent festival.We were both disappointed however when our order was delivered . Part of crust on one was burnt and after an attempt to eat the rest, it was clear that the entire patty was dry , inside and out, and in the words of my daughter" the worst beef patty I've ever had".
Once again the quality of the food is no good. The red peas soup is not authentic, and the taste was rather nasty. I also ordered Jerk fish a few months ago, which was not prepared well; the fish was not clean or cooked well. DO Better.....people are trying to patronize your business, but you make it difficult. Get a good chef.
Island Quizine has delicious Jamaican food! My delivery orders are always on time, hot, and flavorful. I usually order: Brown stew snapper, Rice and Peas, and Cabbage. They offer a large variety of desserts and drinks as well. I visit this restaurant frequently and love the cleanliness and customer service. I also love the large portions and the secure packaging for pick up orders. The menu has many options to include callaloo, plantains, jerk chicken, salt fish, curry chicken, and snapper. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and there is always plenty of parking.

Yet another professionally catered event by Island Quizine. Donovan and Camile arrived on time, set up was efficient and the food was delicious. My guests loved the jerk chicken, escovitch fish but the veggie rasta pasta was so tasty it disappeared in minutes.Thanks for another successful event.Very satisfied customer.
Waiting for over 30 minutes only to realize they didn't put in my order. Then I'm still waiting and the staff is rude and unapologetic. They're calling order numbers for your food but no one was given a receipt with an order number. An ok selection of food but at this point I dont hold much hope for the food. Customers all all first timers no regulars and I can see why. Poor management and very expensive.I'm never coming back here.
