One of the best fish takeout places I've visited. Don't let the outside fool you. The building may turn you off but the food is fantastic.
Chicken tenders are the BOMB.com. Mac and cheese is amazing. I like to make sandwiches out of anything and when I add everything together, it’s crack and I’m hooked !! Lol

First time here, Good Food.Could Stand to Clean Up in the Front Area where Customers are Waiting for their Food,...Like Wash the Floor & Vacuum the Rugs,...I would Add a Star for that Effort,... Hhhmm, as I write this I wonder about Areas I cannot See. ? I am Quality Control on My Job.?
I have ordered from here many times and service has always been consistent. Even late into the evening some food delivery apps still service them. I always get their fries, hush puppies, banana pudding, catfish nuggets and their wings of course. Great place to order large portions of sides and wings. They really stuff each box with plenty of food. Seasoning and the frying here is always on point. The perfect temperature and salt in every bite. So happy this chain came to this side of town. Parking here can be tight and the wait times here are pretty short.
I order here all te time since I arrived in DC. These chicken is great, fries are on point also. Can't forget about the banana pudding, my favorite.
Just looking at all these melanated people writing reviews for this fried chicken joint named specifically to cater to black people, but owned and operated by people who would never otherwise support black businesses or black causes. The business owners blatantly exploit black culture and call it Hip Hop Chicken because they know black folks will spend their money here. When will you wake up and stop letting everybody exploit black dollars? They have the nerve to have a seasoning called "crack seasoning". And you wonder why nobody respects us. You'll spend your dollars with everyone BUT your own. Thats why we keep losing. Smh...
I got the chicken and fish combo for about $14.00 the chicken was nice and Krispy but the fish is just skin. It was my first time trying this place it's nothing special and the season they Shake on the meat after it's cooked makes it too salty. I would go back for the chicken only without the season after shake. It's just chicken nothing special you probably could do better making your own chicken at home savings you a few bucks.
