It's fine-ish? We had the hot chicken sandwich, 4 piece box, chicken tenders, fries, and mac and cheese. The chicken was cooked but bland and the breading tasted off, like they double dredged and didn't cook the flour all the way through or the grease hadn't been changed in a while. The hot sauce on the chicken tasted pretty basic, like Franks. The biscuit was clearly a frozen precooked biscuit. The mac and cheese was fine, but looked like a box mix and I saw one of the cooks dumping hot water into the mac and cheese (NOT into the steam table) to loosen it up, so god knows how long it had been sitting there. The fries were fine, on par with 5 guys. The sandwich was probably the best part, but it got really messy really quickly and of course had that weird off-flavor. The roadside sauce was tasty.Prices are on track with what I would expect to pay for a non-corporate restaurant in this economy in this area of the world, which is to say they're fine.If you need some fried chicken, it's edible. But I wouldn't go out of my way. It's certainly not close to "southern style" as advertised, but it is fried
So, I am not sure what the Great reviews are about. The food was fine but very bland and boring. They did have Old Bay in a shaker on the table to give the chicken SOME flavor. Fries were good. Coleslaw was mundane. Ice-cream and shake just normal. Honestly, the food at Popeyes is better.The little outdoor seating area is nice, but you really are just 100' from a significant road so there is only so much they can do.My 2 cents.
The spicy chicken sandwich was fantastic. Fries were good, but the oil they were fried in had a bit of an aftertaste. The snowball paired well with the food, but was more of a crushed/chopped ice consistency and not the shaved ice it is advertised as. My daughter had soft-serve and enjoyed eating outside on the side patio. Service was good. I will definitely keep coming back for that sandwich.
Not crispy. Served cold. I ordered a coke and it was flat and tasted watered down. The ranch did not taste like ranch.
So delicious! Was recommended by a friend on Facebook and did not disappoint. My family LOVED the boardwalk style fries with some chicken and an Egg Custard Snowball!
Poor customer service. They have one menu on FB, another on their site, and are working off of neither.
My husband and I like to sponsor local restaurants. So, we ordered from there and loved it! the chicken was moist and tasty. Mac and cheese were so good. The chicken sandwich with sauce was so yummy! will go back very soon!
Believe the other reviews. They forget things, like the sauce for the chicken(it's literally a requirement to select sauce before placing your order, so there's no way to miss it) no straw nor fork. Chicken is decent only. The chicken box comes with just the chicken and cheap dinner rolls..... the beans are a generic can of beans.
Absolutely delicious food.
Got the delicious 8 piece chicken! Crispy, juicy, and very savory. The sauces were amazing too. I completely forgot to order the fries, will do next time.
