Fantastic experience. We ordered several whole chickens for our family, one of the staff helped carry the pans out to my car being that they were so hot. The food was delicious, the chickens were moist all the way through and the seasoning was perfect. We loved the way the yucca was cooked to perfection and the plantain was excellent. Will definitely be back!
If you’re reading this review & trying to figure out if you should- eat here!! Not only is the food always fresh (they make it an aim to serve fresh plantains, super fresh chicken etc.) the service is always friendly & fast. The guys in the kitchen work very hard & the young lady at the cashier is always kind. My husband and I have been here multiple times & we’ve even grabbed food to give our friends. That’s how much confidence we have in Fidel’s! The chicken is always flavorful & delicious (better than Sardis if you’re wondering) & we’ve enjoyed their sides as well: fried rice, string beans, cilantro rice & plantains. Oh! And the interior is clean and has some neat designs. We usually do take out & they’re quick! Enjoy!
Great experience! The new restaurant was clean. Food was good. They had champagne soda, yay! I noticed they make horchata so I will be back, I do want to try other items on their menu. Nice local spot.
Food was good would recommend. Chicken was not dry and they gave extra sauce because they are cool. Employees were very nice and were patient with me. They made everything fresh and took out fresh chickens and yuca to fry and serve. Over all a very good experience I will be coming back!
First time trying this restaurant and we are hooked. The whole chicken taste so good and was cooked perfectly. We tried fried rice, plantain, & yucca and everything was delicious. Sauces were the perfect complement. We will be back very soon.
This new, vibrant restaurant is a blessing to collesvile and WAY better than Sardi’s! If you like your food seasoned, fairly priced and generous portions- Fidels is for you! My family ordered half chicken ,shrimp tacos, shrimp saltado & their house made cuban drink. The food was cooked well, seasoned just right and I did t spend an arm and a leg for three meals.
Trying for the first time. Chicken was flavorful and nice and hot. Ordered the cilantro rice and green beans. Rice was tasty but didn’t seem all the way cooked. The green beans were bland and had 3 different levels of cooking…some were over cooked, some were under cooked and some were just old. No flavor.The green sauce is very good but way too salty, the yellow one wasn’t bad but it was hard to tell what it was…Nobody really greets you at the door but when you say hello, they say hello back. This place, like most places needs more help. No personality.With some upgrades, this spot can be even greater.
We were really excited about this place and couldn’t wait for them to open. We ordered the family meal package which comes with 2 chickens and 4 sides (carry out). When our order came out they only provided us with half of our order. Luckily we checked before we left the restaurant. When we got home with our full order, we quickly found out the green beans we ordered were as cold as ice. We also found a worn clear plastic glove in our bag with our food. Disgusting. I live walking distance from this place and will never come here again.Edit for review of food:Food in general wasn’t good. Chicken was Salty in some areas and super bland on the inside. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the yucca. Beans as I’ve said were super cold and bland. Rice was bland and seemed really dry.
I really wanted to love the food and give a high rating but it's not possible. The space has nice colors, art/graphics on the wall and looks clean. I give that a #5. Unfortunately the food is a #1. The rice taste like plastic and the chicken and yellow sauce is way too salty.I didn't have any issues with customer service but it's a serious issue to have someone taking orders that can't speak English. I also had a serious issue with an employee being hygienic. She packed the food and with the same gloves she touched other things. Not OK.I absolutely will not return here but I wish them well and hope they can improve.
We got carry out since we are nearby. No problem communicating our telephone order. The order was correct.Chicken was delicious and sides were fresh!Everyone was very polite and helpful.So glad to have delicious food in our area!Most certainly worth the trip and prices were completely reasonable.
