Do not eat here if you have celiac.I went in this morning and they had two pieces of bread toasting on the gluten free crepe griddle/station. I asked if the bread was gluten free and got 4 blank stares from those working. After asking for the sixth time, one of them finally admitted that it was regular bread. The woman on the register said a couple of times that they would clean the surface, as if that would prevent me from getting sick. An older man said that his friend asked him for a favor, as if that’s a reason to wantonly jeopardize the health of your customers.
I miss this place. It was my go-to for a nice weekend breakfast spot when living in Silver Spring. The staff was very kind and friendly; crepes were delicious with good coffee to top it off.
Probably one of my all time favorite brunch spots! I love the environment and the food is amazing! Watching the talented staff make them is an artwork!
Family owned, GF options, very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
I was quite disappointed. I called ahead of timw to find out what time they were open until. I was told I could dine-in until 8:30. I had work to do, so I needed a minimum of half an hour in one spot. I totally understand if their closing time is earlier on a slow day, but I had called and they told me 8:30. I got there just before 8, and they told me I could only sit until 8:15 because they needed to clean up and close. I told them that I understood but I wish they had told me that when I had just called over the phone. They went back and forth on the reasons, all of which are fine. However, I had driven to get there according to what they told me on the phone. They then said it was fine and I could stay until 8:30. However, I was already uncomfortable staying, and I don't want to make people stay and serve me when they have made it clear that they do not want to. All I am asking for is that they are upfront about their real closing time, which is earlier than what they say.
This is not in relation to the taste. It is because they are very UN-gluten-free friendly. For example, a listed crepe that has 4 ingredients is priced at $10. That same crepe would be $14 gluten free. They charge by toppings. So those prefixed crepes listed mean nothing to a gluten free person.I understand the batter may cost more, but there is no way the overhead cost justifies such a large difference in price. To make a gluten free base $10 and a $1 per topping is very expensive.Take it easy with the prices and be mindful that you may get more customers if you do.
Wanted to eat here because the mood looked nice but the cashier was rude as hell. Everything I said she just said no and looked agitated. I don't know why she was so rude... I was very nice. But I gave up as it seems they didn't want to serve us at all. Places like this should not be in business.... We walked 5 mins down the street to Kaldi's Social House where the mood was similar, the service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Many options of Sweet and Savory crepes! Big portion.
Amazing crepes! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!!
To be honest the crepes was tasty delicious and freshly made in front of you. The location is also great. The reason I gave this place a 3 stars is the lady I am assuming was the owner not friendly and not inviting at all. She needs to have a little manner, she’s really unwelcome.
