I will never eat here again. The food was not good at all. I ordered crab cakes greens and Mac and cheese. The crab cakes were the worst I've ever eaten! No flavor, runny, very little crab, and way too much filler. The Mac and cheese tasted as if it came from a box. I didn't ask if the greens were cooked with meat so that was my fault. I wouldn't be writing this review if the service received was on point. I have never been treated with such disrespect. Long story short my family and I wanted to make our waitress Amy aware of an incident that occured. She was very short and dismissive and even said " what do you want me to do about it". The table next to us also attempted to complain. About the same incident and their food to the same waitress Amy and was told by Amy, "I'll get the manager but he's way worse than me". The manager came and did nothing. Amy storms back to the neighboring table and says to the two woman sitting there," I have done nothing but give you the best service it's not my fault you are just trying to get a free meal". I will never ever go back there. Amy needs to find another job. She's very nasty, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional! If I didn't have to give a star I wouldn't give one at all!
Perfect thin dumplings in the pea and dumpling soup, and not overly salted. Fish special was cooked to perfection, and the sides tasted home cooked, not out of a can. Reasonably priced. Friendly and attentive staff. The downside? It was a bit noisy for me, and the table felt sticky.
Bought Mother's Day Dinner to celebrate my Mother! The food didn't take long to complete our large order. Everything fresh and hot. Couldn't wait to get to my Mother's house to eat. Everything was so delicious and everybody was happy with their meal. Dayton's you all have hit the right spot! Keep doing what you're doing! It's a winner for me. If you are in the area please pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.
Bought dinner for Mother's Day today and was such good home cooked food. Everyone enjoyed their platter. We had a large order and it was ready in 25 minutes. It was so much food that we could only eat about half. Whenever you are in the area please pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.
We've been here a handful of times, and the food and staff were great. However, this time, on Easter Sunday, we had a different experience.I called around 830 to see if they were open on Easter. The man who answered was rude and sounded very annoyed. I didn't think too much about it, they probably had tons of people calling asking the same thing.I called again around 10 to see how long the wait was, and it was the same man who answered. That entire conversation was extremely off-putting. He made it sound absurd for me to politely ask if there was a wait, and every word that came out of his mouth came with anger. We still went for breakfast. The food was mediocre. Not the same as usual. And I was missing part of my meal. I didn't even bother asking about it.The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the sweet lady that works up front and our kind waitress. While we were eating I saw who was answering the phone and he reeked of rudeness.Hopefully this man was just having a bad day, even though that's no excuse. We won't be back for a while.
Cozy, locally owned diner just south of Salisbury, Maryland. Good food and great service! ?It can get busy here and the new drop-ceiling seems to have made it a little noisier. Still, a favorite of my wife and mom?
I went to breakfast with my mom and we had a great experience. This place was very busy however we didn't wait very long for food and the staff were very friendly! The food was delicious and I will definitely be returning for breakfast again soon ?
I'm not surprised this place is packed every Sunday the food is DELICIOUS & the seasoning is perfect. I live 5 min from Daytons & this is my new favorite restaurant. FIVE STARS ....you should visit & see EVERYBODY LOVES DAYTON'S
Best Breakfast in Salisbury. Great fried chicken, try the prime rib on Saturday night. Homemade potato salad is excellent. Vegetables are good.
The food was good as usual!! This place truly needs to be updated however. Everything about it is very outdated. And we also overheard an older couple talking about how the waitresses uniforms were all mismatched and how they couldn't tell who was a waitress and who wasn't. Lol Once we looked around, we realized that All the waitresses did actually have Dayton's t-shirts on, however most of them had jackets on over top of them because it was so chilly in there. Some had on jeans, some had one capri leggings, and others had one regular full-length leggings. It would definitely upstep their game to give their waitresses either long sleeve shirts or sweatshirts that they can wear for colder days, and keep the t-shirts for the warmer days. Also, have them all wear black pants in the fall & winter and khakis in the spring & summer. That alone would make a huge difference. The fact that their food is so good is the only thing anyone around us was saying that was positive.
