I liked the place and products they sell
Super clean, neat, well organized and authentic Halal supermarket. You can find various type of brands and products from middle east, Turkey, and Mediterranean area. Love this place. Things like; Turkish Tea, Turkish Cheeses variety of them, Snacks, Lavash Bread, Kabab Skew, etc.
Nice and clean store. Good place to pick up persian groceries. Be aware of items without a price tag as you will be surprised by very high prices at cash register.
Authentic feel, good selection. I was there too early for the kabob, but am looking forwarded to trying it. Also, I hear the labne yogurt is good.
I love this small market. I find everything I need here, especially Turkish products. Vegetables are fresh too. Persian cucumbers have good taste and stay fresh longer. One suggestion. Also more fresh Turkish yufka please. Everytime i come they are not in stock.
Always loved this place! I've been coming here with my Mom since Middle School. Great produce, amazing selection of spices and everything else an Eastern European would love!Every time I visit my parents from Pennsylvania, I try to go and get as much of my favourite food and spices or give my Mom an extended shopping list if I don't have time to go. Now an adult with a 2 year old daughter of my own, I still love this place. Thanks to my best friend from Iran I have learned to love Persian food back in the day! Being Russian as well, we adore Yekta, naturally.I've lived EVERYWHERE in Maryland, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and YEKTA by far still serves best KABOBS and dishes around. No place like this! Plus the grocery store is a must visit for anyone looking for unique high quality products like cardamom tea, yogurt, cheeses, spices, juices, breads, and rice. To name a few! My entire family by marriage and blood adores their food! Every time we come to Rockville, YEKTA is by far the number one choice of food. I have yet to hear anything negative about the grocery store and kabobs at Yekta. Staff is phenomenal and friendly and will patiently find what you need if you are lost among their selection of yummy delights. Will definitely miss the traditional style restaurant as they did a beautiful job with renovations. Whether a little cafeteria place it used to be in the 90's, to a newly renovated upscale restaurant to post COVID take away only, the quality has never changed. Keep doing what you're doing! I wish we had a gem like this in PA.
We usually get takeout food from its kitchen and we like it. We have recently tried its kookoo sabzi and kotlet and it was perfect! Tgeir taste was really good. But sometimes the kebabs are burnt as you see in this photo. Overall, I recommend it.
It’s a really nice remodeled persian super market. It has enough products and items that is a one stop shop for you. However a little pricier than other places.
Huge selection. Great fresh vegetables, breads, etc. Anything you need for Persian or Middle Eastern cuisine.
Used the market occasionally. Good source for middle eastern and Mediterranean foods. The restaurant/takeout has good Persian food- kubideh and gormeh sabzi.
