I ordered Koobideh and chicken combo , the Koobideh have no taste and the chicken was burnt .
[Wed., June 08, '22] My family was lucky enough to be stationed in Turkey, with the US Navy, and so I grew up enjoying the MAGNIFICENT food from the Mediterranean & Middle-East Regions -- truly my favourite style of cooking...and man, can they ever cook, are friendly and with generous scrumptious servings. Yekta used to have a larger, incredible restaurant in the front, but I suppose they had to adapt with the Pandemic, and shrunk the eatery portion down to a carry-out, but maintained the same high quality of authentic & delicious foods. TRY THE LAHMANJUN (not really a 'Middle Eastern Pizza, but that is the closest description Americans of European descent can compare it to) ... that, and the drink 'Gazoz' (from Turkey, but recognized all over the Near/Middle-East, parts of Europe / N. Africa, Central Asia). Wow what a snack treat. Order chicken or beef dishes from the Deli counter (Carry-Out), and while they are making it, shop around in their grocery store. Many items are printed in the language of product origin, and in English, but if you can't read the label, Google Translate it. Not sure what the food is? Google it or ask the friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff -- they would be glad to give you an intro lesson. Experiment a little if you've never tasted it before. And if your family is from that region of the globe...what a wonderful way to keep wonderful thoughts of home in mind. Patrons from Egypt, Palestine, India,...from all over the adjacent & adjoining regions will recognize many of the epicurean delights...to their great pleasure & satisfaction. Go, try something new, and enjoy sharing the experience with family and friends. I have been treating my family and friends for YEARS on the scrumptious bites you'll discover at Yetkta Kebobi Restaurant & Market. Have Fun! :-)
The market and kabob are both awesome. I wish we could have tried the restaurant or had somewhere to sit and enjoy our kabobs for lunch!
Haven’t tried the whole menu but the Ghorma Sabzi is definitely overpriced for what you pay! A lot of rice and not enough protein, perfect amount of Sabzi
Have been shopping at Yekta for over 30 years. Always happy with the quality but the recent hike in prices makes me very reluctant to continue purchasing some special items from this store. For example the pomegranate is as expensive as buying it from Balducci/most expensive supermarket in the area. Hope the management team pays more attention to pricing of special items.
We did a catering -jojeh soltani- both chicken and koobideh were delicious. However they missed half of our order so we had to go back again at the middle of our event, they also forgot to cut the kabobs in half. That’s why I gave their food 4stars. Otherwise it would have been 5.
I got this ground beef and went home, cooked. And TRASHED IT. It tasted like spoiled meat and even the smell was so bad.I went back there and told them what happened and the women told me “thanks for letting us know”. Is this customer service? I trashed everything. I dont care about its money but they could at least answer in a nice way.I have been shopping from Yekta for two years but this was my last time. NO MORE YEKTA!
Go to this place, forget restaurants, the is s is a Persian market and a kitchen. How much more legit can it get??
I love this market! Worth the 45-60 minute drive I make special to go there. Fresh Cousa. Lots of variety. Friendly staff! They recently redesigned the whole market and it is beautiful.
Great place to get authentic middle eastern and European food
