7/5/2022My last night on my DC trip, I had to visit a local bar. It was dead but the staff was nice and had an interesting local beer.On my Middle Class Monotony (MCM) scale (0-5 where 0 is NOT cheap or monotonous and 5 being very cheap and monotonous):No line or reservations and there is something for everyone. Could easily become my a Cheers... MCM 4
Surprisingly good bar style food accompanied with a delicious gluten-free Chesapeake tap beer and a gluten-free tap Passion Fruit Cider. Our first entree was the Bibimbap bowl. Inside the bowl, we enjoyed some perfectly cooked steak, fresh vegetables, good kimchi, and some ok rice.We ordered a side of coleslaw, and it was a small portion; think of this as a single small scoop. For our second entree, a bowl of Chili hit the mark. Again, good steak chunks, a bit mild on the flavor, and if you want to add a kick, ask for the siracha aioli vs. the sour cream.
This is a great spot. I’ve been there a few times and it’s been pretty consistent every time. The staff is always helpful and there are so many beer choices which is great. The food is pretty good too! Trivia night on Wednesdays is a really fun experience to check out. We came here today for the St. Paddy’s celebration and it was a lot of fun. Despite being super busy, the staff was really helpful in answering my questions about the rewards program and March beer challenge.
We’ve had World of Beer multiple times and each have been fantastic. The burgers are great as well as the fries and tater tots. The spices on them are so good. The alcohol is also good. Chicken and waffles was tasty too. Haven’t had one bad experience here.
Had a great dinner after a long road trip. Great friendly staff.Ava Soft Pretzel Review:3/5 - The pretzel was very good, it was like ummm shiny and looked like plastic. The wow factor is that it came on a hook!!!! And it was huge!!! **remember she is a connoisseur. Dad note: Also wouldn’t consider what you get for $2.50 bar cheese, mustered was amazing fire out the nostrils
Will totally go again. Beer selection is phenomenal. I had the spicy Korean wings. They were perfect. The tatertots don't, not, get them, you would totally miss out. Service was excellent. No reason to not earn 5 stars here.
This is a good bar with a great selection of beers and typical greasy spoon food that's always tasty. The happy hour selection is so-so, but even regular prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend the giant pretzel!
I love this place. It's quickly become a go to place for me since moving back to MoCo for a few different reasons.First, the beer selection is solid. While they lean a bit too much on the hoppy side for my taste, they have enough of a variety with some Belgians and some Belgian-influenced beers as well. They are generous with letting you taste a few so you're almost certain to find something you like.Second, the wings. I had forgotten how much I missed well-made east coast Buffalo wings. They make them crispy and juicy in general, but I always ask for them to be dripping with Buffalo sauce and they always oblige. Their pretzel is bomb too, and it's all about that beer cheese sauce they serve with it. At some point, I may try some other food from the menu but I am so satisfied with the wings, I'm afraid to take the risk!Last but not least, I have never met a single person who works here that wasn't friendly. They work as a team here and everyone seems eager to please if you need something. It just makes for such a warm, pleasant experience.Highly recommended.
I took my mom out to lunch today. We tried this restaurant and wow amazing. We got there early so it was just us and a few people at the bar. But the waiter and bar tender were amazing the whole time. We are most definitely coming back on Monday for Valentine's day with the family so they can experience it as well. We order the unlimited mimosa and for appetizer we had the donuts with a maple sauce I believe and nice crispy bacon pieces drizzle on top. We also had nachos and the most delicious fried Mac and cheese balls and yes we order the donuts and Mac and cheese twice. I had the chicken BBQ flat bread and my mom had the fish and chips for our meal. I 100 percent recommend this restaurant and sign up for there rewards as well it comes in handy.
World of beer fish & chips endless mimiso Mac & cheese balls bacon mini donuts. So good opens at 11:30 am on Saturday
